Unhappy What are the part numbers for genuine rocker panels for 2012 C63 AMG Coupe Base?

The driver side rocker panel on my 2012 C63 Coupe (Base, not 507 or Black Series) was unclipped near the rear. I decided I would reclip it myself, rather than pay the dealership $370 to do it.

I discovered that the edge of the panel which clip holds on to was actually broken, so I need a new one. I'm also getting a passenger side panel, since it appears to have a bunch of scratches on it.

I can't seem to find the correct part number for the panels though. When I took it off, there was a sticker with the part number : A2046902740. I can't seem to find this part on parts.com or any other parts site. I checked with Mercedes and they told me the part numbers were:

20469827549999
and
20469828549999

Looking at the parts these numbers refer to, these are actually the Black Series Rocker panels http://parts.mbfm.com/a/Mercedes-Ben...M/5778510.html

In the same diagram, there are 2 other parts with the same number, but they seem to be something for the Edition 507, because they have carbon fiber on them.

Parts.com

https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuse...3-%20Liter-GAS

shows a rocker panel that looks like the one I'm looking for, but of course, it's a different number, and the clips shown in the diagram are not the same at the ones that were on the car.

Can anyone help me decipher which is the correct part?

On MB EPC the parts for your VIN are the ones you quoted in your original post.

20469827549999
and
20469828549999

Assume you're referring to lower most part "250" in the attached pic.

Joe

I don't believe they come painted, so if it's just some scratches, you're better off just getting the existing one fixed and repainted. The parts are expensive. I would know.

Yes, that is the part. I guess I just got confused, because the base and Black Series seems to have the same part numbers for the rocker panel. I wanted to buy them online since I can probably get the same exact part for 20%, but I might have to play it safe and just get them from the dealership so I get the correct part.

Just go to online MB dealers such as mbonlineparts.com. They show each part at $807.40, versus $1,077.00 MSRP. The parts are true OEM.

I believe that is correct. I can probably get the right side repainted, but the edge on the left side that clip holds on to is broken and the crack travels along it every once in a while.

I bought the car off lease, but couldn't go check it out myself, and when I got it delivered I found that the hood and front bumper had been repainted and poorly at that. Not to mention I had to get the wiring harness for the radar sensors replaced (under warranty thankfully) and when the dealership put the rear bumper back on, they found that some of the clips were broken (aka, they broke some of the clips) and couldn't get it align perfectly again. After I took it back to them twice so they could try to align it the way it's supposed be, I gave up.

My intention is to get a new front bumper, hood, rocker panels, fenders and rear bumper, then repaint them with one of two shops that trust and xpeltech the whole thing. I'm sure many would say that's a bit overkill but I'm just a bit **** like that

Thanks, I'll check it out. The website I usually got to are parts.com and geniunemercedesparts.com. I had to order a mirror cover from parts.com once and as far I could tell it was a genuine part. There just seems to be some hole in their catalog.

Unless I am misunderstanding the extent of the damage would it not be easier and way cheaper to repair it, rather than replace it (and respray)??

Amrek, my psgr side rocker is also loose at the back, and same prob you describe.

I was able to place a very small hole and black spare mb body screw through the rocker into the wheel well just inside the right rear wheel well to pull the loose bit of the rocker back in place. I did this as an interim fix until i have my rep part painted. Its been this way for 6 mo no issues.
