How did you tint the rear lights?

Thanks, man.

I have done this on my previous cars that I owned for several years and had no problems in the past. I asked the same place that did my windows if there was anything that could do to tint that part - so they just used the same film as for the windows. They said I should leave the car in the sun for a good week or so more than the windows, just because of location and drying area of the tails. It has held up great. I also didn't want it too dark - it looks best at dusk/dawn.

Looks clean. Did you change those lights next to the projectors? That looks sweet, I just don't recall if the FL came like that stock (I have a PFL with two projector lights per side).

Are you referring to the light above the wheel well? If so, yes, those were amber sidemarker signals that I swapped for the smoked sidemarkers. They are DEPOs.

You saying that they just cut a rectangular piece of tint and stuck to the outside of the tail lights or inside part?

The tint has adhesive so I am assuming it's like a plastic sticker...

Yea, you got it. They precision cut a piece of tint film and attached to the outside portion.

They did the exact same thing to my E55 - after almost 6 years of ownership and it has stayed as perfect as the day they put it on. They do exceptional work and I always go to them for tint/wrapping etc.

I attached a pic of the E55 tails that I had the same thing done ...

Hope this helps...

No, I'm talking about the red circled lights in the attached pic. Are those stock?

to answer your question:
Black 507 DRL surrounds fit perfect just as the stock chrome ones if installed correctly.

Steel Gray is such a sexy color, especially in certain lighting.

Car looks awesome, keep us posted on the changes!
