A step is missing. The primaries are not welded into the collector like all the other LTHs on the market so it will take some extra work.

Agency for example. Shows up exactly as shown below.

I assembled mine just at home, they look pretty identical to iPE and Agency. So if those are LTH, pretty sure this set is LTH

There is a review from a guy who received Agency headers non-assembled as well. He paid over $3000 for them. I won't get to install them till 3 weeks from now. I was asking what I was missing in terms of parts like rings or anything to buy them prior to starting the install. I'll have my friend weld them at his shop in any case so that won't be a problem.

They are definitely headers, but by definition, a long tube header has all the bends prior to the collector. As an example, my ARH headers have the collector after the last bend in the primaries and have no bends post-collector. Your headers would be more mid-length headers. Even MBH headers are tri-Y rather than actual true long tubes. I agree that yours look very much like AP headers though.

I dont understand people owning a 75k car and find thats 3k headers are expensive. I understand that its the same stainless as the 1200$ mustang header its suck. But gaining 40whp hp on a honda civic gonna cost you more than thats so for me its not that bad.

You my friend is seriously misinformed. Slapping on a Mugen sticker nets you 50 horsepower for only $5 on ebay. Don't even get me started on the rear wing.

Well, just because the car costs $70k it doesn't justify to charge $3k for the same length and almost design of headers you charge for $1400 or less from the same manufacturer but for a different car

Btw, talking about welding primaries, anyone who got them from Agency Power, were they welded? Maybe EC can throw their 2 cents here. Because after looking at the primaries, it's nearly difficult to weld them all around.

You can see in the picture it's difficult to reach inside with little space. I'll report back when I actually start on them but I think it's worth saving $1600 and pay that for tune + install.

The Friedrich's headers do look very similar to the Agency Power / IPE headers. If they are the same, not a bad deal at all for less then 2K.

Im sure you will net decent gains with them.

I read somewhere that AP primaries are slip on to the collector and they're not welded. Can anyone who owns it confirm? Or maybe the vendor will throw their 2 pennies?

maybe they were selling them before from 3-5 years not welded, nowadays they are welding/painting them before selling to costumers.

Looking at their website they say "slip in design". How does that not leak?

Had my AP headers on for 2 years now and no leak.. I did use high tem silicon to be sure. But no issues with the design.

FWIW - AP / IPE headers look to be identical, same factory apparently makes both of them. The IPE design looks to have welded collectors where as the AP design are slip ons.

MBH / ARH = I seen these headers net more power then the AP / IPE setups. They are probably the best setup for our cars. But if the Friedrichs can be had for almost half of the MBH setup. It makes this decision very difficult for potential customers.

Yeah I will admit that if the price difference was $1500 and the power difference was like 15 whp, I'd get the cheaper ones. That assumes same materials, reliability, fit and quality control. Interested to see what power these make and if any issues arise.

Good to hear High temp silicon operates up to 700 °F. How hot can our exhaust or manifold gets? Did you use Peramtex? I actually may go this route as well if I don't end up welding them. I will research this and see.

A few years ago I used High Temp Red RTV to seal up an exhaust. Worked for a while but after a couple of years it turned to powder and blew away.

that's interesting, so the Friedrich headers are possibly the same Taiwan headers like AP/IPe? Starting to sound like a USA tax then AMG, lol. That's still a sweet savings though.

Let it be made in Somalia for all I care as long as its done right. Hopefully some of the "greedy" vendors think of reducing their pricing to something reasonable.

lol. I agree, but I'm pretty sure they're made in Taiwan. My IPE and AP exhaust reek of Taiwanese sweat, so I assume the headers are made with the same sweatshop baby hands.

I was going to buy from the same ebay auction though, but the listing was no more. Then went to that website someone linked, couldn't read foreign. Those translating websites didn't work either.

Got my AP headers/exhaust ect. installed a few months ago. Bought thru EC houston. Phil gave me killer deal on Full exhaust & V5 tune(practically free) I thought being slip on was a little weird.... my mech. put hi temp sealant and checked for leaks. so far so good and sounds animal with valves open. Getting on the dyno here in a few weeks.
