2012 C63 AMG Edition1
Unfortunately the car is already out of factory warranty at the time of purchase. I asked a local MB dealer about the extend warranty, he said they don't offer it to cars that's out of the factory warranty. Should I look for a third party warranty?

In my experience these are very reliable cars, but I would get warranty on it ASAP unless you are extremely wealthy and can't be bothered with cars breaking down or own an independent Mercedes shop with couple of AMG Certified mechanics/technicians.
Even if you're either of the both mentioned above, I still highly recommend warranty. Good Luck, and search the forums as we have several posts with helpful information on 3rd party warranties.

Only 5k on a 4.5 year old car? Did they explain the previous ownership? Was the car driven semi-regularly, although apparently short distances? Just curious to ensure it was being driven somewhat.

2012 C63 AMG Edition1
It was one of many cars the previous owner had, one of the weekend cars as I was told. The car was registered in CT, I'm guessing the combo of snowy winters and light weekend driving results the super low mileage.

Thanks for the information. The edition 1 I'm looking into has carbon fiber in the interior. Carbon fiber on the door and the passenger dash where the "edition 1" badge sits. Also has carbon fiber mirrors and spoiler.. So maybe a carbon fiber package was added I'm guessing.

2012 C63 P31 sedan
No the p31 could not be added to the edition 1 sedan. Only the coupes have P31. None have the LSD or carbon fiber (in the USA).
