Looking for a new car
Ive owned my 09 c63 for about 4 years. Tune and headers and a few cosmetic mods and it has been a great car to me. Just recently gave it to my brother and Im in the market for a replacement. Here is what In considering...
2014 M5: love the exterior look, not a fan of BMW interior but it's ok. I know they're fast especially with a tune and downpipes but I don't know how they hold up
2014 E63s: great looking car, not as aggressive as I like them but it's nice. Only worry is the AWD. How noticeable is the loss of power at high speeds. I like the cooled seats, thats a plus.
2015 M3/4: very aggressive but damn they sound terrible. Ive seen all types of exhaust but they do it no justice. I love the exterior a lot, interior isn't that special but I can live with it. Only concern is will that exhaust make me regret the switch.
2015 C63s: this is my favorite on the list because Im a C class guy but it looks a little small. Compared side by side with the M3 it looks very narrow. Also hate that it has no clutch like the old c63.
I have no kids yet so I can still do the M4 and Im always driving alone. I never really have more than 2 people in the car either. I dont care for gas mileage or anything like that.
My question is, which car would be a good toy to have?
If anyone has any experience with any of these cars please feel free to add your input

If you don't have rear passengers often and are looking for more of a toy than the M5/E63 don't really make sense unless you just want a larger car.
Not sure what you mean by no clutch as the 09 has a torque converter and the C63s uses the MCT (which technically has clutches).
Opinions on the C63/M4 will depend on which forum you are visiting. Any thoughts on a pure sports car like a Z06, GT350, etc?

2007 Mercedes E63 AMG
bought my dad a 2003 E46 Touring...lets just say i've spent 2.5x in repairs than the cars value.
BMW if you don't plan to keep it past 100k miles because its a fast car...but i still love the fit and finish of my Mercedes over any BMW.

I had a 335xi and it was a headache and a half. I thought maybe the M cars are built better. My C63 has never had real issues except O2 sensors.

wow... wish we would of known about the warranty from aston a year ago. lol. But that warranty would probably be best for the DB9 and such, the v8 vantage with the manual is pretty darn stout.
Back to topic though, I'd probably get an E63

Nice read on the E63.... http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...st-ride-review
4Matic is standard in US but not around the world... "For AMG, the 4MATIC torque split is revised, biased 67 percent to the rear axle, 33 percent to the front, and it is actually quicker on the track than our previous rear-drive configuration.”
Never driven one so i can't say, but I personally would pick the e63 from that list of options.

Buy a 45K Aston Martin Vantage with a factory pre-owned bumper to bumper warranty.
This guy's basically convinced me this is the buy of the century.

Put me down for the E63 as well.
I have to say, I think that drive wise a W212 E63 has more AMG attitude than a W205 C63. To me it just feels more in your face about it. In the prior gen, the C was right up in your grill yelling what a bad boy it was and the E was in stealth mode. I feel like thats flipped to some degree.

Damn that would make a great upgrade to my c300 for sure. Interesting post to say the least.

Also keep in mind that the warranty is only good for one year and still cost him $4K. I'm pretty sure he is selling the car after a year and deducts the car off as a business expense as well since it is his job.

I went to check out the m4 and the sound alone on that thing scared me away, did not bother to drive it.
It seems riced out I couldn't live with that every time I push the gas.
Maybe try out the facelift c63 with MCT as I hear it's very different in how it drives from the pre facelift c63
Shoot for a 507 edition maybe

Corvette Grand Sport? Solves the blown engine/overheating issue, but you get the widebody and braking/aero upgrades. Might make less HP stock than your C63 but you'll be able to put the power down easier with 335s out back.
From your list E63 for sure. Tons of M3/M4s out here in LA with aftermarket exhausts and I haven't heard a single one that sounded any good - especially compared to a C63 with headers/tune. They do look great though.

Ive never owned an American performance car but I do own a 2015 Durango RT. Its a great car and the interior is built well. Ive owned it for a year and its held up well. As for the GTR, always loved that car but I want a car that I can do more than just go fast. I need a little bit more practicality than just fun. I leaning towards the M5 because I've always been a RWD guy but the E63s is very tempting. Going to be a tough decision.
