Not normal and some have had same experience, there is a stuck relay perhaps ... Time to get it checked at your mechanic or dealer

Does it eventually stop? Does the battery seemed drained when you start the car?

How long has this been happening?

What year is the car?

Happens after aggressive driving?
(Is there any other style of driving in a c63??)

Ok. Funny. I think the oil cooler fan is behind the bumper right side? But this fan is near firewall right side. Just behind ecubox under the hood.

When talking about side, you should say passenger or driver. Right or left varies depending on if you're talking about sitting in the drivers seat or standing in front of the car.

But, it is a cooling fan. It is just hot and they will keep running to cool the car. Normal, you're good.

To be fair, we don't know where this guy lives. Driver side could be RHD.

I think the acceptable nomenclature is the side while facing the car from the front. Or I could have that totally wrong.

Edit: Finland I guess. Duh.

An oil cooler fan staying on for an hour after shutting the car off is not normal. Same goes for the coolant fan.

A messed up thermostat has caused the coolant fan to run for extended periods of time after shutting the car off. How has the coolant temp been?

If it is a legitimate hour I would just check my fluid levels. But the car will let you know when something is wrong usually.

All fluids good, still no CELs or warnings, and still concerned then take it to a mechanic.

When my thermostat failed I had zero electronic indication.

It was dead of winter 2 years back. Cold as fùck out (in the -20°C range for weeks), no heat, coolant temp erratic on the dash screen and the fan running max RPM. I think it's a failsafe feature.

No codes what so ever. I'd shut the car off and the fan would run for a while. I never timed it, google indicated thermostat so it was pretty obvious what the problem was.

Yes. Im in finland. And always you spoke car right or left side. Because cars left side or right side you aleays look that for a drivers view. And i think that ecu was in right side under the hood when you look drivers view the car. And this case fan is not runnig in side the car!! No air anywhere inside. And coolant level is ok. And engine operating temperature 90-92 celcius (196-198 degrees) i can put photo where the fan noise is comeing.

I think you are talking about the HVAC fan. It is in the inlet before the cabin filter behind the glove box. You can see it if you remove the black panel over the ECU. It is used to circulate air inside the car. It runs after the car is off to help dry out condensation created by the AC so that the system does not get moldy and stink up the inside of the car every time you turn on the interior ventilation. It will run for quite a long time. The first time I noticed was on my wife's 2011 GLK. I did not realize it went back as far as 2009.

The smell used to be a source of major complaints in a lot of customer's cars. MB added this feature to reduce the likelihood of a stink from the ventilation system inside the car and to reduce the number of complaints about it.

It doesn't do that in my 2010 and I get the stench often. Gotta spray a disinfectant in there all the time

Mine doesnt do that but it will kick that fan on as soon as I start the car after running AC for a while. I wish it would dry that out after shutting car off. I get that moldy smell on occasion
