Hi guys. Just installed my new carbon fiber spoiler. Took a bunch of pictures but it was easier to share as a video. Used a DIY that someone posted in the forums. Will post an outside pic tomorrow. Didn't get a chance to pull the car out after the install.
That's what I used also along with Goo Gone. Also found its easier to use fishing string folded over twice (4 strings) to cut through the stock tape. When I used a single string it kept breaking. That was with 10lb fishing string. On a side note...made it to work and back and the spoiler didn't fall off lol!!
And yeah, I redid my spoiler the other day. I used a heavy fishing line, forgot the weight, and it was a breeze.
As for the tape, like others have suggested, that eraser wheel is amazing. Cant tell you how much its worth it. The first time i did my spoiler it took me hours to remove the tape with goo gone. Took 10 mins with the wheel and some goo gone for the left overs.
BTW, I know the 3M one is the "official" one but its $33+
