How to clean AMG brake callipers properly and effortlessly!
I have read many threads about cleaning callipers with all the brake dust stains and used the green cleaner, the soap water and even bought a 5 liter all purpose cleaner for off road motorcycles and had the wheels off numerous times scrubbing with a brush and the other day when I had my wheels off I tried normal car polish paste on a cloth and the dirt and grime basically melted off. So I suggest a toothbrush with car polish paste for all the grooves and a rag for the flat areas and then just wipe them clean with a clean rag afterwards. And I'm sure the polish will even protect them more than usual from staining in future. Sometimes the answer is right in front of you

I use blue dawn and a wheel woolie during every wash. Comes off really easily. Once in awhile I will pull the wheels and use Iron X or Sonax Full Effect and a soft brush to clean everything really well. I can't stand when people have clean cars and filthy brakes. It's like a hot chick with stuff stuck in her teeth.

I have to store mine in the shed with my mower and yard tools. Left the bottle in the garage for one night and the next morning my wife thought something had died in there.

Unfortunately we do not have these products or there are similar products under different names but polish you can get anywhere. Since you do it its just easy to maintain with soap and water every wash.

Everyone might know this but try to always wait for them to cool down. Hot brakes and cold water is never a good idea. When I pull wheels I'll set a fan up to blow under the car then wash the rest of the car, by the time the whole car is washed and clayed and wheels all cleaned and new the calipers and rotors are cool enough to touch.
I know everyone doesnt have that kind of time but all I'm saying is don't spray em down after you've been driving or you'll have more to deal with then a dirty caliper
