I'm not in the market for an LSD, but the picture shows bearings. Are they included? Are any seals or fluid included? $800 seems like a pretty good deal for those looking for a diff. It will be interesting to see what feedback people have for this diff compared to the Quaife and Wavetrac.

I'm not in the market for an LSD, but the picture shows bearings. Are they included? Are any seals or fluid included? $800 seems like a pretty good deal for those looking for a diff. It will be interesting to see what feedback people have for this diff compared to the Quaife and Wavetrac.
Everytime we enter a new market/fitment (we are not a new company. We are one of the largest aftermarket LSD manufacturers in the world), we always get asked the question between our competitors (those two) and ours.
Our goal from the beginning when developing our own Helical LSD was to offer a unit that was both metallurgically stronger and more affordable than the competition, as well as performing just as well, if not better.
All MFactory Helical LSD's are:
- Forged SAE4320 Housings (both Quaife and Wavetrac use SAE8620 and are not Forged)
- Forged SAE9310 Internals (Quaife use SAE8620 and Wavetrac use SAE9310. Neither are Forged)
- Increased Bias Ratio (how much torque can be transferred to the wheel with traction) of 75% (Both Quaife and Wavetrac are 66%)
- Globally transferable Lifetime Warranty (should you decide to sell the LSD at a later date, no matter which country, the new owner will still have a Lifetime Warranty)
In addition, we are very well known for both our pre-sale and post-sale customer support (unlike those two).
A quick search on Google will bring up hundreds of results. We are the worlds largest (by far) Honda drivetrain specialist, OEM for both Honda and Toyota, and are one of North America's largest BMW Specialists. Hence, we are now expanding into the Mercedes market.

It is not required, no. We specifically designed our LSD around the oem dimensions so that there will not be any clearance issues.

Yes, it is a Torque Biasing differential, as are Wavetrac, Quaife and Peloquin.
Although Wavetrac have their patented wave mechanism, this was not designed by them (it was designed by Quaife, then taken by Autotech/Wavetrac after Autotech stopped becoming Quaife's US Distributor). It was originally designed for 20 year old VW's with no traction control, thus the whole "solves the no-load-one-wheel-in-the-air" issue. However, this no-load situation does not apply to the modern day car with Traction Control (or eDiff) as your traction control (via your rear brakes) serves the same function. This is why Quaife ditched the idea in the first place as it was pointless (unless you were a company that specialises in 20 year old VW's i.e Autotech/Wavetrac) and doesn't really affect 95% of the market. Instead, Quaife done what we done, and developed (well, they bought out another company) a Plate LSD as well for those who really need something that locks. There is no place for a "hybrid", unless you are Autotech looking to tap into the 5% market.

We have a pumpkin built and on-the-shelf, ready for a core exchange (due to zoning though, we can't actually work directly on cars, so you would need to organise with another garage to remove/install the pumpkin). Or you can purchase the LSD unit only.
Either way though, it would need to be ordered directly through myself on this forum at the moment, as this is still a new part so I'm the only one authorised to offer the forum discounts.
