Compass Option 245

Compass Option 245
According to my data card and option sheet my recently acquired 2013 C63 came with the code 245 Compass but I cannot see it in the system nor can I do a reset and calibration as described in the owner's manual.
Is there an onboard way to check for its prescence? I know my tech can likely hook up the computer and find out?

Option 245 is compass in rear view mirror or also shows up as trip computer compass

Seems maybe the early cars had it in the mirror and the FL cars have it in Nav screen.

That's the issue. It don't and a reset doesn't help.
I am suspicious that like some recent posts this car got delivered with out the option or it is a warranty issue to be addressed.

I think the Compass Function is part of Command in the LCI cars. Check your Command book for activating the compass view. My 2012 does not appear to have the hole in the bottom of the mirror to set the compass in the mirror either.

It isn't critical to have this. More curiosity as to why the data card says it is there and it does not appear to be.
I run with North Up on my Nav so it isn't too difficult to interpret where the tip of the arrow that indicates the car directio is pointed and know what direction I am headed. This can also be displayed on the compass overlay on the screen.

09-11 there was a little red led readout in your rearview mirror that N, NW etc.
2012 onward it is in your nav screen. Simple way of making it appear is if you change your climate settings.

Homelink buttons are central, indicator for setting HL to the left and 2 round map lights either side and the so called reset button just to the right of the right hand HL button is in fact a small light that shines down on the gear selector.
