C63 AMG, P30
I'm sure everyone has seen this, but as a case in point, watch Chris Harris' farewell video to the 6.2L V8:
https://youtu.be/tjCsJkFSCzI
Every collector will be watching this 20+ years from now. And note how at 2:19 into the video he talks about the 507 as having the special SLS derived engine parts. They made it seem like only the 507 had these parts. Wrong, but most people will think this is the way only the 507s came.
Marketing is everything when it comes to value determination.

If any W204 make it to collector status it'll be the BS, not my car, not your car.

The M156 engine was produced in high volume. Anything that creates a subset of that is welcome, to try to boost volume. E.g. The 507

I believe this to be correct. After all, only the Black had limited production numbers. All other 'models' they would build as many as they thought they could sell, ergo supply at least matched demand. When ours become worth anywhere new what they were new it will be as much a function of inflation as enthusiast demand.

Again, just about any model can become "collectible". A run of the mill 300E from the 90s is sought after if it's in good condition.
Becuase of of our engines - the highest displacement NA 4 seat mass produced car in generations, it will become collectible. C63, C63 P31, 507, BS -- all collectible, just at different price points.

2012 P31 C63 Coupe Trackrat, 2019 GLE63S Coupe Beast
I paid $53K 2015 C63 507. Brand new factory order.
Fully loaded, except advanced driver assist.
Like it or not, the 507 is going to have much higher resale values than the "regular" c63. And that's a primary reason why I bought one.
Most journalists said it has unique parts and that's what most people will go by. That and MB's marketing. For example, Johnny Lieberman said it has the Black Series brakes.
Oh and let's not forget it has over 500 HP stock and the P31 does not!
As far as collectors view the market, it makes all the difference. There's no comparison to a "regular" C63.

Highly doubt your valueless comment is what this forum considers proper behavior.
I know you are referring to yourself, but it's still a waste of data to even write it.

im kinda late to the party but im surprised nobody has noticed the wheels are not original edition 507wheels but a knock off , a good copy but not the real mc coy . in canadian pesos, in montreal a set of genuine 507 wheels will set you back way over 12,000 . these wheels have a machined lips that cant be duplicated by repair shops . my guess is the car got banged .

Well the P31 is basically the same car mechanically.
The 507 (P61) package just replaced the P30 and P31. From what I gather, it cost about the same as the P31, so it was a great deal.
What the P61 has over the P31 is:
- higher HP and torque
- higher top speed
- aluminum hood from the BS
- nappa leather interior (optional)
- alcantara steering wheel
- carbon trim (optional)

OK, in that case here is the Canadian product guide for the 507. Some equipment varies from the US. We get more. Neener neener neener.
Mechanicals on page 2.

AMG32, sorry I forgot to post that info.. The physical difference in the engine according to Car and Driver is the following:
The power increase was achieved through forged pistons taken directly from the M159 engine used in the SLS. New connecting rods, a lighter crankshaft, new forged pistons—the same components upgraded in the C63 Black Series—and an engine remapping complete the light-but-effective surgery to the powerplant. (Benz says the SLS-sourced internals shave 6.6 pounds in weight.)

My guess is they are charging more for those components over the stock C63... Not because they cost more but because it cost MB more to install them specifically in the car. The PDF was just the options that were available..

God. This has been hashed and re-hashed a 100 times. Way to roll in a day late and $12 dollars short.
Mechanically speaking, a 507 is the same as a P31.

All I can think of after reading this thread is this https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-17-miles.html
... *some say, if you listen closely, you can still hear him yelling that high price off in the distance*

Mechanically-speaking there are exactly zero engine differences between the P31, 507 and BS.
There. End thread. Please just make it stop.

What else will I do? Its not like Kate Upton is coming over to gimme a heart attack.
She's busy telling the world that shes giving it to Verlander.
He lost out on 500k, but he gets to have her announce that to the world like that.
Seems like a fair trade to me.

507 has more HP, torque, and higher top speed.
You may say "but with an ECU tune the P31 will be the same, or more!". Sure, but that's not the point.. stock, from the factory, the specs are different. Period.
Minor difference. But still a difference.
And because of the way the 507 was marketed, it is perceived as a distinct model, like the BS. And therefore it will have higher resale. For one thing because it isn't entirely clear if a c63 has the p31 or not, but there is no such issue with the 507, like with the BS. But not to start this again.

Nope. Not true.

Or you can just blather on in blissful ignorance. Your call.
