Whats the weight of each part

Dude IS legend.
He is Magellan, exploring and charting the W204.
And apparently, also like Magellan, he has a bank roll bigger than mine
and is willing to share his findings. Love that. Very cool.
Than my friend said why not make it lighter. And now it has become like an addiction to make it super light.
Doors are a very good saving. 46 pounds per door empty. So plus panels and electric window motors etc.
I am currently talking with the company who made the polycarbonate windows for the w204 dtm factory cars. We are checking if sizes are the same. If yes. We got another big weight saving coming ;-).
My son would build a set, then tear it down into something else or dial it up a notch.
My daughter would build a set, then pose it exactly as it is on the box, and leave it like that. Forever.

I just found a conpany in Holland (europe) that makes lithium batteries for this car of 5.7 pounds.
And they are modular. So if you want more power, just add another cell of 0.9 pounds.

Lolol. You could make some bucks and counter the cost of the upgrades.
Just a thought.
Great battery
You sir are killing it
your car will be 3000lbs when its finshed Dont forget giro front and rear brakes as they are the lightest and cf drive shaft
also the reo in the bumper bars weigh a bit also strip them
I have managed to lose a full 200lbs, from my already 'fairly light' Celica. A quick tip if I may....Lexan/polycarbonate windows....for the amount that you save in weight, I don't think they're worth the expense and hassle. They scratch really easily and you end up losing a lot of the nice feel to the car as you drive. The back window on my celica saved a whopping.......3kg (I think) and that window is approx 30% bigger than the C class rear glass.
However, I love the work you're doing and it's great that you're sharing your findings. Keep it up!!
brilliant!
