Things that you never got for your '63

You made a valid point ^^^ I guess quality of fuel per car will make a difference to fuel economy. But that being said, I'm guessing that the vast majority here will run premium unleaded where possible.
Your numbers are looking good! A couple mpg here n there...no big deal I guess. But its nice to know that our powerful (very large!) N/A motors can return a reason mid/low 20mpg on the highway. ok around town it's not so great, but it's still not exactly in the low low teens like other cars (the E55K for example)
I remember several years ago (ok more like 10 years ago) there was a guy doing accelerated oil changes on his 2ZZ motor (every 4k) and running a snake-oil called Polydyn TX7 (a bit like Molyslip and all those other things). The guy was basically trying to do a real world long term test to see if stuff like this worked. He consistently drove in full granny mode for several months (gosh that must been dull) but eventually I remember him getting it to over 40mpg on average fuel fill ups, from being in the mid 30's (or low 30's...I can't remember). I wonder if anybody uses an oil coating additive on their M156. Probably not, but it would be interesting to see.

CeraTec and some other liquimoly additive are popular on here.

I run 91 or 93 and drive on E on the high way and I barely get AMG MPG, this is sad
Maybe the fact that I have disabled the transmission learning system/throttle lag/granny mode has a huge effect on MPG

My car tuned (evolve) went from 26 mpg on hwy to 29 mpg after the tcu tune.
Id love better front seats , like audi rs4 not the **** ones ya yanks get . Wider rear end and tyre size .other than that shes the perfect modern day hot rod oh one more thing when the tc is off to be able to use cruise control or in sport mode that's fooking retarded

only thing i would have liked would be dab+
running wider tyres from oem and my car is pretty optioned out. air cooled seats would be nice, e class have them, maybe a bit of trickle down economics

Bringing this back for my new personal MPG record
For this to happen, I drove for 30 min 50 MPH, because some people who were visiting could not get the destination into their navigation and I had to drive slow enough for them to follow me.
I happen to look at the menu and my jaw dropped.
And it went to 22.8 before I stopped.
I didn't think this was even possible.
I was hoping that with this engine, the economy speed was around 80 or so, but it seems it's 55.
Just like Chrisriderbike, my "from Start" was over 23 MPG.

You guys should all be embarrassed driving your car to get good fuel economy - I personally have never seen over 17mpg, getting good fuel economy and wearing out the rear tires just don't mix.

My biggest complaint was for the price we all paid for our C63, why didn't it have an alcantara headliner.

You know Alcantara is actually a really cheap material? Fun fact that I didn't know either.

It add a nice quality look to any car interior. But it would be an upgrade to what we have as a headliner now.
