No who ever told you that is wrong.these come with everything needed to connect to stock resonators.

Comes with straight piping though

No I just remembered incorrectly. Will edit post to not spread misinformation. For someone already with a welded H pipe, do I need to cut off part of the headers? Or re-weld an H?

These hook up directly to the resonator per scratch77 above. The resonator has a h-pipe in it. Do you still have the resonator installed?

Nope, I have the resonator and secondary cat in my parents garage

Looks like I might need to place the resonator back on. Or get a shop to weld another H between the straight pipes on the FI tubes.

or can I just not attach the mid pipes?

I would reinstall the resonator unless you want it really loud. Also the resonator is a good point to attach the mids to the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust is smaller diameter than the 3" mids and you have to step down at some point. The resonator is a good point to do it.

If I wanted some high flow cats, where do they fit into this equation?

I have catted mids with MBH LTHs. They have a short length of straight pipe with a 200 cell race cat right after the LTH. I have a x-pipe in place of the secondary cats that mounts to the resonator. The x-pipe tones it down a notch. Straight pipes could be used in place of the x-pipe and would be slightly louder. The catted pipes can be made as test pipes that are swapped with straight pipe when so desired. I think FI must make their mids in two pieces per side as well.

For literally $285 more you can get the original ones that are 100x better. We make them here in the USA unlike the cheap chinese knockoff garbage. The original as seen in my sig, comes with a no BS (unless you smash it up) lifetime warranty. Not to mention free shipping inside the USA. There is no comparison in the build quality from our header to these knock off ones.

Isn't the extra $285 only for a set of headers with no mid pipes? Mid pipes are an extra $550 on top of that if I’m remembering correctly. And are a needed piece for functionality. Im also a Canadian customer so buy time you add the shipping and conversion add another 40% to the price usually.

Im not getting into the quality debate especially after autotalents quick response to my original question. Just pointing out that for a budget orientated enthusiast it’s not as simple as throwing $285 on top.

Actually it really is just that type of price difference, You are going to pay conversions on anything purchased in the USA. Shipping to you in Canada is $100. We send along along adapter pipes to mate the headers to the factory system. There is always option to ad a mid-secton or mid-section with Cats or Xpipe at anytime. Try buying individual parts like that from FI, not going to happen. Not to mentions FI's 1 year warranty, that seems to be very suspect if you search around. With us if you run into an issue we alwasy take care of it. Take a look at the FI parts that are literally falling apart.

I love how you post pictures and don't know the story to what you are posting. I can just say this was one of the few cases were a warranty replacement was not necessary but we still got it warrantied for the customer. We have sold over 100 + headers for the W204 chassis with no issues. We have installed countless systems locally on exotics. No issues... We stand behind this product and will always take care of the customer if anything happens. You are just embarrassing yourself here. If your product is as great as you say it is then let the people decide and stop coming across like a child.

MBH believes forum rules dont apply to them. I agree, He comes into threads and posts like a child. FI makes a great product. Due to antics and severe product delivery delays we dropped MBH, FI has been great. and you cant beat the price.

He could also only find these 2 instances of probably thousands of systems sold.

You are no better than a shop that sells knock off watches and ladies handbags. I have ZERO respect for talentless people who cant design anything on their own and would rather sell a knock off than the real thing. I designed these headers, I put the R&D in only have bottom feeders come in and dumb down the product with a cheep knock off. Its unacceptable. If you want to know the story of FI Exhaust, they are junk. There stuff its total garbage, they are a marketing company. Ive invest over $26,000 here at MBworld, I am one of the longest continuous sponsors on here. If you think for one second Im going to sit by while some bottom feeders and coat tail riders sell crappy copies of my stuff you got another thing coming.

None of you guys sell full ceramic coated systems which I've been after (one of you did at one point) so poo poo on all of you lol. A lot of customers including overseas offer these options which customer do want. Listen to the customers! Never liked the fact 1 company always comes in and say "buy from me, I'm the best". If that potential customer was in the market for these type of products he would have done his research already and knows the differences. Let the past customers and install/dyno shops speak for you, the product usually speaks for itself.

Sounds like MBH is mad that capitalism is working as intended

If you dont like it, make your product better or cheaper. Theyre just steel tubes, you dont own any patents to them.
