Weistec or Renntech or OEM or other brands parts
I've been just going through the forums lately and I've been seeing a lot of talk about rebuilding the c63 m156 motor because of head bolt issue and other failing parts with the engine.
Now this has me worried, I too have an 09 C63 AMG and so far I haven't had an issues.
I read in someones post about Bergen Imports/Eurotech motorsports (THANK YOU BLKROKT i think i spelled that right) in NJ that can rebuild and are great at what they do, which is perfect since that's only a 30-50min drive for me.
Since everyone is talking about rebuilding the engine/motor.
I just want to get some of your opinions on what parts to replace and from what company you should buy the parts from and what parts would I need in order for the shop to rebuild it.
I've done some research, and know of certain parts I definitely need. (Mag1c Carp3t posted a picture on someones thread showing his estimate and parts with the number) which was very helpful to me.
I definitely need new headbolts, head gasket, intake manifold gasket with cover, tappets, cam adjusters, sls valve buckets.
Am I missing anything else ? Where should I get my parts? Several people suggest weistec but are there other brands/companies out there?
(I have no more plans for my c63, I'm keeping it the way it is. MBH headers + mid pipes + valvetronic catback + OE tune and airbox etc)

I guess you're refering to my posts. This car has been stressing me out since the check engine light and rough idles with the misfires. I believe it's the head bolt that everyone is talking about. If you're planning on rebuilding PM me, maybe we can work something out with the shop or the parts company where we can buy double the items for cheaper prices.

Hey man. Just take it somewhere and they'll order all of the parts etc for you. Why would you want to make this any harder than it needs to be. Updated OE parts are fine, and these places get better parts discounts than you more often than not.

^This.
All you should have to do is make a phone call, drop it off, and pick it up. Some type of monetary exchange in there somewhere. But you shouldn't concern yourself with ordering parts. This way, if there is a mistake with the order, its someone else's problem.

I would probably have them replace the PCV valve while they have everything apart too. And depending on how many miles, maybe the accessory drive belt service. Like everyone has said, just call one of the shops.

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea that they get better pricing/parts. I always assumed they use OEM parts, unless you bring your own parts!
