Noob to this forum, I just bought my first MB, A 2010 c63 in white. I really want to get a led illuminated star for the front grill.
I bought one off amazon that said it was for c class. Ofcourse it doesn't fit the c63 it's a little bit bigger about .5" in diameter. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get an inexpensive one or if there's a crossfit with another model.

First off, welcome to the forum. Second, someone will say it so let me get it out of the way: Use the search function. People have already looked into this. Third, an inexpensive one? You my friend just got a car with a special tax. It is called the Mercedes tax, worst yet you have the added AMG tax and it seems this tax gives companies a way to increase their margins significantly.
edit: Not done on a PFL. Read the thread and find out if its possible for you
Thanks for the fast response. I have tried the search with the limited time I had I only found a few other posts and mainly based off oem ones being put in facelifted c63's or other c class models none that are for a pre facelift c63. Sorry but I didn't find any specific to my case.

I don't normally use the search feature of the forum. I use google and it'll pullup threads from here. Seems to work better for me
you may have to change the whole grille.

I've had a lot of cars, current daily commuter is an 08 Impreza in that pic. But have had everything from SUVs to old school muscle 67 mustang which was really only a track car but was street legal , and imports too (93 Supra , ) I can name them all but it's pointless. Which I sold all my toys since buying a house and having 2 kids, this is my first hobby car since.
So im curious now, what was your previous car ?

To sum up the post:
The C63 PFL star is not the same size as any other PFL w204
proposed solution was to replace the grill (inferring that a replacement grill would have a more standard size star so it could then be swapped with a LED version)
no grill was mentioned as working with the C63 though.
any search I do for a grill (preferably FL single bar AMG style and blacked out for me) always comes up with "C63 AMG style" grill and when I do the fitment drop downs it shows it is not compatible with my PFL C63. I'm wondering if this is because the star is a different shape and or if it is because the PFL C350 grill is actually different dimensions than the PFL C63 grill.
Sooooo, does anyone know the correct part combo for me to remove my stock PFL C63 grill and replace with blacked out single bar grill and an LED star?
From all the research I did The only solution I found was this, but never got a chance to buy one and confirm it fits. This grill should fit the all the facelift and aftermarket led stars. I have a star but never got the grill.

comparing a shot of the stock star I see a definite gap that is bigger than the gap in the star in the above shot.

This backs up what a previous poster said about the LED star being larger than the C63 stock star.
I'm just in the planning phase of this one, but when (if) i ever do this setup, I'll post back here with the results.
