Time For Brake & Pad Change So Thought Id Paint The Calipers
The car needed new disks and pads so I went with the standard items for now, I think I saw you could get an adapter for the standard calipers so you can mount the black series disks with bells? Can you do anything for the rear similar?
I wanted to paint the calipers a bright yellow on a white car but went for pearl yellow and you can see the pearl when its sunny or light. In some photos it has come out darker for some reason though. I will get some better pictures when the weather clears up in the UK so I can wash the car!

looks great Phil, love the new colour.
Deliberated that colour myself, decided to stay red when I re did them as mine is the PP+ and decided to keep the colour OEM.
Car looks good too

Thanks, It went through my mind too about keeping it oem colour but red seems abit common these days.
Lots more mods planned now I have decided to keep the car, Its currently getting genuine carbon fibre interior pieces made up from my carbon guy so they should be here soon, Then off to get a secondary decat with straight pipes just for now until I finish off the carbon for the exterior, new wheels & KW HLS 4 way coilovers.

Those look nice man, like the yellow - it's different! When it comes to calipers I think vinyl is the way to go. Did it on my previous SI and would have done it on my C63 if it didn't have the factory painted calipers with the P31 package. The vinyl looks like paint under most circumstances but then when light hits it it reflects, like a stop sign, super cool! Cheaper than powder coating and safe for heat from even tracking.

Looks good man, nicely done.
I recently gave mine a light facelift by giving them a good clean, peeling off the dried lacquer and then re-lacquering....seems to have held up ok for now and they're in brighter shape than the faded pink they were turning into. Hopefully proper respray for them in the summer.

I managed to get a few more pictures after cleaning but then it rained again haha. The colour constantly changes due to it being pearl with the light.

One of my friends said that after I collected it, They are really bright yellow but with the weather being dull and not much light it does make them look slightly gold/orange.

I am in UK England so costs will be different plus they painted the hubs and fitted new disks and pads so I would not know the individual cost, Most other places in the UK wanted £800-£1000 just to paint the calipers which excluded them taking off or refitting.

Great color choice and they look fantastic on your car. Quick question...was there a reason to paint instead of powdercoat? I want to add a pop of color to my car and the local shop gave me pricing for powdercoating.

The reason being, powder coat will add more thickness. Also, it's require to be baked.
So, in order to powder coat a brake caliper, you will need to remove it off the car and remove all of the internal components (the piston and the rubber boot). And when you have that removed, it is best to replace the boot with the new one. To be fair though I did change all mine as I thought I may aswell as the disks/pads etc were getting done too.
Even Brembo, AP, StopTech etc, they all paint their brake caliper. I have also read powercoating attracts more heat which in a road car may be ok depending how hard you drive.
Powercoating was 3 times the price too, so I didnt see the point when I could change colour more often if needed or spend the extra money elsewhere for the car. The place that paints them has all sorts or super/hyper cars in his shop for paint on the brakes who even track them and so does he with his M3 and they have held up even with stones hitting them from going off track.
