Thanks for your answers.
I would ask a AMG Performance Center, instead of a normal Mercedes dealer.
Also I get another C63 for some coding stuff next week and can compare the engine sound.

getting mine on friday
Buying a 2012 and I heard the tiking noise as well, just afraid and a bit worried if I have to fix it... don't like to hear any kind of unormal noises. Will Check again when the car is warmed up.

Wow, thank you very much guys, Just took 1 ton of wheight out my head..... the last thing when you buy a used car is that something can be wrong with the engine...

It´s the bad sound quailty.
I found another video:

That is exaclty what my C63 is doing.
For me that are 99% the Lifters.
But they are all new...

Was it making noises on hot restarts or on cold starts? My car makes that exact same noise, but only when the car temps are hot (235-245) and only when I restart the car. I have all brand new camshafts, cam adjustors and lifters. This is frustrating.

Hello guys,
i´m writting from Germany.
The Dealer said to me my "noise" is normal, but i think this is bull****.
(Other M156 are ways quieter).
My Problem:
I got a ticking/ tapping noise.
It follows the rpm.
I think it is also louder at higher oil temp. (but I can hear it at any oil temp.)
Some recording:

https://youtu.be/aBPszUjGCxg
I replaced all head bolts and also all lifters.
The Cam Adjusters are locking, so i think they are not damaged (has already the last available partnumber).
Some guys told me that this problem could be the heads itself (oil supply to the lifters cracked or blocked).
Oil pressure is around 1,5 Bar at idle, and 4.5-4.8 Bar at 3000 rpm
Can anyone help?
Im not motivated, removing the heads again
