Ethanol fuel on V6 tune
hi everyone,I am here to share some information about my c63 running on self-made ethanol fuel on ec V6 tune.
First thing I want to thanks David from ec Austin for helping so much on ethanol kit. I am happy driving it everyday.
There's no e85 gas station in my city. So I have to figure it out by myself. Luckily I have a friend that he owned a hpf twin turbo e46 m3 running self made e85 and performed well on dyno. So I decide to have a try. I bought those anhydrous ethanol from alibaba which made in local chemistry factory. After I got the flexfuel kit installed(super easy work within 30 mins). I pumped the anhydrous ethanol into my fuel tank and finally got a 70% around blend ethanol fuel.
To be honest,I was nervous before I could start the car. Because I am pouring ethanol into my tank. No body could tell me what the worst thing could be like.
But when I started it,everything is going well as usual, then I drove out for a test drive, things became amazing. I am not sure if you could understand my feeling. My car just run so well on ethanol and no cels at all.
I could feel the difference between e85 and pump gas.
The acceleration became smooth and fast. I can't tell how many hp I picked up at that moment but I can sure it did increase at least 30hp IMO and the tq is everywhere. The most impressed thing is when I have normal #98 pump gas. Everything changed. I feel a lot power lost and I did feel depressed.
Recently I got a fuel it Bluetooth ethanol content analyzer for my flexfuel kit to monitor the percentage of ethanol in the tank.
Guys out there always ask me how many hp exactly I have now. I'll go have a dyno test next week to see what happens. I already prepare
Vp racing x98 fuel(19L *2) and the best quality anhydrous ethanol (200L) I can reach so far.
So guys let's see what happens on the dyno next week. I'll post everything here.

Sounds like you are enjoying the extra power of the ethanol.
Look forward to seeing your dyno numbers.
Please do a dyno run on normal pump gas, so we have a baseline to work with.

So that little blue tooth thing hooks right up to the ethanol sensor on the kit? No need to swap the whole sensor out?

I am gonna connect the power and ground, then cut the signal wire of ec flexfuel kit and tap the fuel it Bluetooth module's signal wire on it. It might work I think.

Just found out these guys are local in Arizona. I know all the good stuff for our cars are here in my state.
I also found they visit the same shop I do often to test their products on the dyno. So I'm going to see about a hookup through the shop. Same shop will be doing a custom e54 bench tune as well. Will report the results.

yes. Last week I pulled on dynapack and get a 536hp on tcf1.15 with V6 tune(been told for petro) running E88(anhydrous ethanol mix 98ron).
While last year I made a 519hp on same dyno facility with V5 custom tune.
So 519hp to 536hp from 98ron to e88.
After that Jerry pass me a proper tune for ethanol and I am gonna pull again with this tune and VP x98 fuel. I am sure it could have some more hp and trq. I'll be back to share.
