Has this car been resprayed?
Also, what is that wax in the crevis between the body panels?
Any input would be greatly appreciated

And that's definitely ear wax in that crevice. I can taste it from here. You can also tell by the way the blue light wavelengths refract off of it and give it that very unique sheen. I'd check to make sure that whoever deposited their ear wax there was up to date on all their shots.
Good luck
Or earwax that's been in the sun for more than 72 hours (why it's so pale).

"Please diagnose what's wrong with this car over the internet by sight/sound/description because I'm too dumb or lazy or poor to do it myself, waaaaaaaaaah." - MBW Snowflake Newbies
Get someone to LOOK at it dude. Yeah, it looks weird. You need 50 strangers on the internet to tell you that to make you feel better?
Also, if there was a body panel he was trying to pull a fast one with, why would he put a close up shot of it on the ad? It doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I can't see a reason behind that.
Maybe contact a local body shop over the phone, and pay them to inspect the car if he's willing. If I was selling a car I wouldn't have an issue with that if it came out of the buyers pocket and the bodyshop was close or he compensated me for my time.

"The number one issue for orange peel is that the material is too thick."

And yes, virtually every car has orange peel now. Factory paint is crap. So many gorgeous cars in this town and I frequently walk away shaking my head at the amount of peel.
What did the seller say when you asked?
