Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead guys....
So I had my friend who's a mechanic look over the car for me and he found that the passenger side valve cover gasket was sweating. So I brought it back the the dealer immediately and they called me just before to tell me that they found a hairline crack in the valve cover and replaced it. Has anyone heard of this happening? This car is CPO should I be trying to make them take the car back? What do you guys think?

Those are Aluminum bolts. If someone replaced one of them with a steel bolt, that could cause the crack. The dealer would have replaced the bolts with OEM ones if they found one that was different, or so one would hope.

I wish mine was a CPO car. Relax and enjoy the thing. Worry about what might happen when the CPO warranty expires. By then you will know every sound and be fully confident in the car.

A valve cover crack is not a big deal. It's not some sort of an indication of a bigger problem. It just is what it is. Don't worry about it. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes things just break for no reason.
