These guys were rolling in a group. And if multiple people are calling then they deserve to get pulled over. If I was rolling in a group like that and people started playing dumb I'd peel off from them. Probably even call the police myself too.
Again though, I think if you got caught up in the mess as an innocent bystander with a nice car the police would acknowledge that and let you go.

It has happened to me before leaving the track after 8h of lapping when I'm tired, sore and all I want is my bed. Instead, get the 3rd degree from the OPP about some "questionable" safety equpiment.

Basically what I've been waiting on the whole time. I just want to see a purple c63 pass someone on the shoulder and I'm sold. Otherwise, we are forced to believe that they were just targeted for going fast down the highway and not necessarily "stunting."

I know the kid with the c63. Good kid overall, but I agree the image doesn't help the case. Either way having the unfortunate experience of having my own car impounded for doing 159 on the 407 here in Toronto a few years back, I dealt with it and moved on. Yes it cost me 5K after all said and done, I bit the bullet and took care of what needed to be done.
I had had tremendous respect for the cop that pulled me over and we even had a good chuckle as he owned a CLS63 himself. During my court appearance that same cop vouched for me and told the judge that I was totally cooperative and didn't deserve the fine.
long story short, they dropped the charge to just speeding and a $400 dollar ticket.
it doesn't pay to be a d!ck especially if you know you were wrong.

That's rough. The fact thats it's so easy to do as well. I can't count how many times I've been frustrated stuck behind a douche merging onto the hwy @ 80kph.
