What happened to the DIY headers thread?
#76
Hey everyone,
The moderator team is happy to answer any question(s) regarding a thread or posts that has been edited, deleted or locked. The quickest way is to post your question in the Suggestion and Feedback forum located toward the bottom of the community. MBWorld is the least moderated community I work as an Admin. If there is a perception content is disappearing frequently, I'll try to correct that misconception. The moderators RARELY moderate anything without a reported post, so either a fellow member or vendor has asked for a review. Sometimes we have zero wiggle room and other times we can work out a solution satisfactory to both parties. Regardless of the final decision someone is going to be unhappy.
Contrary to popular belief Vendors do not control moderation, our decisions are based on balancing vendor expectations to not compete with non paying companies with the benefit to our community. It's NEVER black and white and the least favorite task for a moderator. Finally, the site team has nothing to do with the commercial side of the community. I'm not sure why the DIY Header thread was taken down, but will take another look. Thanks!
Bob

MBWorld Fanatic!
The funny thing is why don't the vendors complain when we sell each other stuff? Didn't this happen with the radiator cooling plates too? I'm so sick of this site. I remember joining back in 2012 when I first got my car. My GOD how much I learned back then! Everyone was so helpful and envelopes were being pushed. It was much more active and stupid questions didn't arise as often. I had never modded a car before my C63 and I learned about so many things. I know now for future cars where to go ask about major problems (ie Headbolts on this car) beforehand and learn from other owners. Nowadays all we get is "what size tire? is this good deal? how to tune? is this a car? should i buy?" honestly it takes me 2 mins to skim the forums these days because there may be 1 interesting thread if any at all.
Anyway, sign me up for the top secret item. That's a group buy I can get behind.
I can't imagine what would have happened to me if I actually managed to get the extended paddles made. I was planning on offering those at cost to fellow members. Would have put me in the minus with the vendor fees.
