I'd guess they have stricter safety requirements for cars going sub 10. Transmission blankets, roll bar, or some such things. I knew a guy in Texas with a NOS setup on his 'Vette. He'd run right to the limit a few times then when he was ready to leave anyway he'd knock one off that was a tenth or two "too fast" and get kicked out because of the safety equipment.

Congrats!!

I'm praying that I can get mine into 11s this season. First time at the track with an automatic. Other than staying on the breaks and revving up, and releasing the breaks, do you guys recommend doing anything special when launching?
