Poll: what's in your service data menu?
When you open up your service data menu, go under vehicle data, scroll down 7 screens.
Do you see under engine
E. 63 AMG ?

Getting in the service menu allows you to reset the service messages.
To get in the service menu, with the key on, but not on all the way to the warning lights on, engine not running, only mileage showing on the screen, press and hold the call accept button on the steering wheel, then less than one second later press the left OK button on the steering wheel.
This secret menu has oil information, workshop information, message resets and car information. As well as some gibberish that I am working on understanding.
Try getting in this menu, then when you get under the car information, take a look at the engine code.
