Blind Spot Asst Inoperative

I rubbed against something and it pulled my passenger side front bumper from the fender and caused a gap. I had it fixed, they said they didn't have to take off the bumper, they bent it back but now I'm getting Blind Spot Asst Inoperative along with others saying limited. Could they have unplugged or broke a sensor? How can I check?

Pull the bumper back off. There's very limited room to look, although you might see from underneath if the car is up on a jack or lift. I doubt you could reach up in there and plug the sensor back in, unless you have scrawny little girly arms like Jasonoff.

haha I'm a girl so maybe I can do it. They said they didn't take the bumper off so you think maybe they somehow unplugged it?

If it's the rear bumper that pulled off a bit back near the wheelwell, it's very possible just that disconnected a sensor. The wiring back there is wrapped/bundled more tightly than it needs to be. I don't think you'll really be able to tell until you look behind it unfortunately. Maybe someone else knows some way to test the individual sensors.

It's the front bumper That's why I'm confused to the error but other sensors are saying limited?

That's weird. The blind spot sensors are in the rear bumper only. There's nothing in the front bumper that would trigger that as far as I know (I've had my front bumper off dozens of times and there are no sensors).

Could it be connected to the parking sensors? The connector for them is on the right front bumper. Easy to check by removing the inner fender liner or loosening the bumper fasteners to the fender and the frame (3 Screws) and pulling it forward a bit. Could be a bad connection or perhaps some wires where damaged when the bumper was pulled away from the fender or the repairs completed.
