Not to butt in, but I have seen this countless times by all kinds of dyno operators. I was even told by 1 locally that they will put in different correction factors to give out higher numbers to clients who want to see them. To buy a dyno and maintain it and run it is big money, so if they can get someone to their shop and give them numbers they want to see, they will be going back. Go to a dyno that says XXX and then go to another one that says XXXXX. Most people will go to the one that reads higher every time. It happens to the best shops and the worst. Nelson racing motors is the biggest offender, but that is a whole different story all together.

There is an entire market for tunes and dyno sheets for bench racers....... an entire "niche'"...... which is not all bad. People impress other people with all sorts of things.... fashion, dyno sheets, watches, .. its all good.

Let me add just one more thing, and I will get off my soap box. I am not disputing the dyno numbers some are seeing. The correction factor and every perimeter may very well be correct. And the reading you get may seem legit.
But here is the problems with using dynos for solving total HP readings. They are all off.
Let's take Dyno Jet for example. One of the best dynos you can buy. From the factory they WILL be off 2 to 3 percent. Now you have to factor in the 2 biggest things that will derail true readings. Installation of the dyno and operator error.
Installing a dyno is a PITA. And it alone can knock off accuracy of the unit in general without anything else being done. So from the factory you can go from 2 to 3 percent off, to 5 or more percent off.
And then you put in the worst offender of accuracy of them all. The human element. All bets are off after that.
I never once used a dyno for HP numbers. I used it as a tool for improvement, ironing out hiccups in RPM graphs and tuning sessions. "How I can best get 5 more hp at 5k RPM at turn 3 at Laguna Seca".
That's what I wanted a dyno for. Not totality of the numbers game because it's not really meant for that and it's not at all accurate for that. I needed and wanted improvement in a real world scenario and that's what a dyno is for.
Now you guys can tell me to F--k off now.

Dyno = used to measure delta in performance with changes in engine mods... not relative HP.... only changes.
UNLESS you are selling tunes, or selling parts.
soap-box mode-off

I only use one dyno in my area for my cars. It's probably the lowest reading dyno in a radius of 50km, but I couldn't care. The owner is a friend of mine, and the dyno is well looked after.
I don't care about the maximum number. I just want to see the number go up after doing a mod.

Bro don't post anything, I have the details but I'm over this **** show with certain people here. They will still find a way to criticize and put you down. If they really want to find out, they can go pay $1100 for the tune and $300 for before and after dyno to get what they want. Then they can sit there and argue with whomever it is that "the dyno pull was adjusted to the their favour."
So yes, we're calling BS on your inflated baseline numbers, which directly leads to inflated inaccurate dyno results.

It's funny how you posted some unicorn numbers without any supporting dyno information, yet you expected the forum community to praise you on your magical numbers. Let me get this out of the way, your baseline numbers (pre-tune) is extremely inflated. You volunteered to get have your unicorn results re-dyno'd, but backed out after you received some "secretive" dyno operator information.
So yes, we're calling BS on your inflated BS lines, which directly leads to inflated inaccurate dyno results.
