To be hung up on whatever it did before also doesn't make much sense - It's about the same as comparing an 2008 C63 to a 507 baseline... it doesn't matter much what they started with - one they are FBO, it's been widely accepted that they ALL will make about the same 470-480whp
Ok. This is odd. You mention it now, and Infiniti has mentioned it , well, infinitum.
It's like it's not cool that any one is disbelieving and yet at the same time you want us to be protesting more, in both threads. Can't have it both way boys and for what ever reason this thread is leading the conversation. More inflammatory initial comment, higher numbers , whatever but Infiniti needs to stop being hurt about it.
It's me that's hung up on what this car did before, stock, and not talking about Infiniti's thread as a result of him not having a stock baseline.
I think I have explained why a few times. I get the concept of what you are saying re 2008 vs 507 or P31 or any other being the same after being tuned. BUT. The ONLY thing we know for reasonably certain about either of these dynos and their results is what this 507 should be running for stock power. When it dynos much higher than that it throws everything else into question and we might as well be throwing darts in the dark.
I'm not chucking **** at Infinitis results cos for all I know he MAY be pushing the 490. I have no reason to give him a hard time for his results. Others who are more technically proficient can take him to task for that if need be.
I'm just trying to stay within my proficiency zone here, and I know that 507 does not punch 450 stock. If it did AMG would be calling it the 540 Edition. As a result, I'm calling that dyno test into question and by extension the numbers when tuned and headered.

I'll call you this week Dave. We'll get to the bottom of this. Would love to have another safe 30whp on top of my EC V5 tune. And people here know by now that I don't hold back my opinions, good or bad....
You said something interesting above about (paraphrasing) seeing a few 500whp cars on E85. Are you saying that's what's happening here, because that detail has been left out and would obviously change everything
And for Infinity, I don't care about you or your dyno-queen car. If you're going to post trap speeds, that's when I'll be interested. Otherwise... yawn.
Why are you posting a car with ethanol and the same mods then claiming see you can get 500whp yeah you can supercharge it and run stock exhaust and probably do 500whp too what people are arguing is headers and a tune ain't getting you to 500 on a m156...
Wait was op on race or e85 ? He didn't clarify what fuel
It was 94 octane and if I ran race gas 109 octane it would obviously net higher numbers but let's not go there until I get to the bottom of my magical dyno queen 507.

its funny this is the only thing you chose to respond to cause you couldn't respond to anything else as you know my points are valid. or do i have to ask again and this time specifically directed at you? allow me to do so....
Jim G do you think that its abnormal for a m156 with tune, tubes and filters to put down 470whp on a dyno jet?
if not which we all can agree is not abnormal, what do you have to say about my after results when Jerry sent back the last tune?
yeah cause REAL ST has anything to do with EC? hahhahah
I was trying to defend you, Infinity, not attack you, and not because I believe you or don't believe your other claims (I don't know you and your credibility yet), but rather because this statement you made about DA correction is indeed true. That's all.
Others have already expressed their scepticism about the other poster's power claims, and by obvious extension yours. I understand their scepticism. When everyone has been working for a decade to hit a magic threshold without success, and then 1 or 2 people claim, with great fanfare, to have hit it on "their" car with virtually no work in comparison, and with no explanation for what the big breakthrough is, you should be able to understand why people are suspicious that something is amiss in your results.
There is no fabulous new intake manifold, or exhaust, or other believable new technology or approach being provided. And, your post, and the OP's post, came across as boastful without merit, and also as "shilling" for the tuner you used who is implying, but not identifying, a breakthrough.
It's like a politician saying "Everything will be different and better now", but not providing any shred of proof of WHY everything is suddenly different and better now, but insisting he is the one to elect or re-elect to office.
Where's "the beef"in this tantalyzing hamburger ad?

There ACTUALLY is a new prototype tune file out. Just an FYI. Vlad told me himself from EC.
Don't worry boys, Daddy is on his way home from vacation soon.

Also -- EC is a franchise and all their stores do not necessarily communicate with each other all the time or share the same tunes.
From what I have seen... The tunes coming out of Canada are more aggressive than stateside tunes. Perhaps why old wise one Purple drove to Canada for his...
For all the doubters, I would tread lightly. I love you guys, and understand where the quick doubts come from, but be cautiously optimistic instead of strongly against what you see.
I feel like I'm missing something...a DynoJet was used to dyno this number I've seen c63's make 470-480 on mustang dyno's which read lower so those same cars will make around 500 on a DynoJet.
We also know that Eurocharged is not known for making aggressive tunes compared to some of the other tuners.
So given all of this information I don't understand what this is about. If I'm missing something please feel free to correct me.

funny how thats your only response. cant flame me like you did the op cause all my stuff adds up and data is right there? i'll take the boat to the track and post up. i also cant wait until you get the magical tune and i sincerely hope you see results and as soon as you leave the dyno feel them. I cant wait for that post.

Now we have these two outliers, and I know of a couple more overseas that have seen similar gains (25-30whp) over what was understood as "just what they make".
Just wait and see
Thanks
Dave
magical, defeat, hate, butt hurt and unicorn are a few words that come to mind when wondering why my situation went ignored lolol
500whp or not, i am more than impressed and satisfied with the results from the remote tune.
Well, I'll be contacting EC to get my V5 shelf tune replaced with a custom V6 dyno tune here in good ol' Denver for the 507. I feel like I'm missing some power...
Don´t forget that when we compare WHP and HP, the loss not only changes for each different car, but it also changes for each RPM in the SAME car.
So, when you say it´s 500 WHP to 400HP, this 20% loss (sounds a lot) is valid for the RPM only, probably close to 6500.
In lower RPM, that you will use most of time, it will be lower, much lower... below 15% ... try to figure the 2 graphs, the curves are way too different.
And yes, Stock C63 507 has exactly the same power output (same mapping, same everything) found in STOCK C63 with P30 or P31 (despite of MB saying it´s "487 HP"). Actually they all have the same 507 HP. Same curves and max on any dynos, same times on any track.
I´m new here and own a C63 P31 2012 Sedan. Love this forum! Thank you for running and evolving it!
This is a customer we tuned up in Minneapolis last month. It was done on a DynoJet 424x at MA Performance. We have absolutely NO affiliation with them.
I asked him what modifications are on his car:
"P31 with MBH catless LTH, midpipe, and x-pipe, Revosport CF intake, ROW airboxes, AFE filters, Akrapovic exhaust, WaveTrac LSD."
I was there for this Jerry didn't touch the tune he said that he would lose power if he did any revisions.

Boys I was contacted by a "Friend" just a heads up theres some new "stuff" in the works. As you can see i was asked to keep the details confidential. However, I will post back my results in a weeks time.
