C63 or C450?
Hey everyone! New to the forum! I currently have a W212 E350 and i feel like its time to upgrade! Ive been looking at the w204 c63 coupes as well as the more current w205 c450 sedans. I prefer the sound of the V8 as well as the power but Im just worried about reliability and gas mileage. Can anyone tell me how reliable the w204 c63's generally are? Also, i noticed that burger tuning is coming out with a tune for the c450's, can any tunes/upgrades be done to allow the c450 to be within the performance range of the c63??

The C63 seems to be very reliable. The only issue was the headbolts. But that was sorted out on later cars.
Anything post 2011 should be good.
I can't see you catching a C63 with a C450.
Get the 63, you won't be disappointed. The sound alone is worth it.

Totally different cars, imo. If you want a fun, fast car that sounds awesome (but don't care too much about fuel mileage and tire life), then get the C63. If you want a newer, nice ride that has some sack and is good all around, then I'd go for the C450. The C450 will also have all the latest tech bits and bobs too, since the C63 is a few years old at least. I would test drive both before deciding.

Drive both, and you'll know. We can't possibly answer for you, but I can tell you that if you go with the one that speaks to you then you can't mistake either way. Very different, but both very good cars for what they are.

the new TT cars are really responding to tunes and downpipes...... getting very very impressive times.
I tested the water with a W205 C63 and it had serious build quality issues..... hopefully the alabama plant has corrected those issues on this platform.
GL. Drive both. Listen for squeaks on the W205.

Welcome to the forum, the two aren't comparable. You can get pretty good gas mileage in the C63 if you drive in C mode....but you will soon find out, that won't happen often. I too was a bit worried about the gas mileage when I first got mine, but now I don't care that I average 11-14mpg lol. Smiles per mile, you won't regret it.
