i think this kid is lucky to be alive, not sure how much benz engineers had to do with that... all his airbags deployed ... as they would on any modern car
that being said, is I was as stupid as this kid I would want to be in a benz during any horrific car accident
Do you think they were testing the top speed delimiter on the 507 eD????? 157mph..... guess they were successful.
** should prob have the rims checked!
Not long after the crash, I saw the hole in the brush left behind and it was pretty wild.
Here is Google street view of the area, now think about 250kmh, as he came rocketing off that corner:

The one thing I object to in that one article is this line:
"There’s fast. There’s too fast. Then there’s Yue Hui **** fast"
Lets face it, thats gonna just pump that kids tires and encourage others to do the same.

Not defending the kid.... but I do recall some close calls as a kid in a way over powered car with drum brakes...... pretty sure no-one hoped I was dead. Or at least.... 'as far as I knew'
Anything even close to that speed belongs on a racetrack, which is what the responsible members of a high end enthusiast marque do.
At the high school near my business partners house there is a baby blue Aventador with an N (new driver) sticker. Can you imagine giving your kid an Aventador in high school? Most of these are kids whose parents live in China still, and they have an allowance/trust fund and go get the car themselves, signed for by a relative.

Glad the kid is okay and hopefully learned his lesson

PEople do this dumb stuff all the time in all sorts of cars the difference is this is a young kid driving the same car many of you have taken out a mortgage to afford so obviously their is jealousy and wishing death from you lames. And enough of the I only speed on the track nonsense you guys lie through your teeth to act as holy religious divine drivers from above.
Ive seen more adults drive and do stupid stuff in high performance cars but young age and it's immediately let's pull the Darwin card and blame the parents. Some of you guys must have had a miserable childhood 😂

What this kid did was stupid. Not general stupid. It was reckless. It was grossly negligent. He was speeding well in excess of normal childish ignorance, and well beyond what a reasonable would do on the road in question. This was not a highway.
This was not the result of a deer or some unexpected intervention. The kid crashed because he was going way too fast on a road not designed for those speeds.
His passenger paid the price for his stupidity.
Simlly saying this could have been anyone at anytime. we all driving high performance cars I'm sure not everyone always behaves on the road after all we wouldn't have paid so much for a car like this. We would have bought a corolla or a Camry or a c250.
if you guys are saying you don't occasionally speed and have a fun time once in a while I don't believe that. Any of those moments can turn out like this in any car civic or corolla or AMG at any age.
Safe the im always responsible speech no ones always responsible unless you are always driving at the PSL and using the blinkers always 🤑
