Exclamation ESP ABS Inoperative after brake pad change

Hi everyone,

I just changed my brake pads and when I started driving, the following error popped up on my dash: "ESP ABS inoperative. See owners manual."

I took it out for a short ride and did a few hard stops. The brakes appear to be working fine. I scanned and cleared the error codes, but the following one persists:

"The signal of component 'L6/2 (Right front axle rpm sensor)' is implausable."

I replaced the brake pad wear sensor and I believe everything was plugged in properly, but before I take off the tire and check on it again, I wanted to see if you guys have any suggestions.

Thanks!

Looks like you may have somehow damaged the ABS sensor on one of those wheels. Or at least knocked a wire loose.

Where is the ABS sensor? The only wire that I (thought I) touched was the pad wear sensor.

It might be similar to the W203:

You've either damaged the ABS sensor, or you have managed to pull the plug out.
