C63 without bi xenon option, is it worth it?
Hello, everyone! Looking to purchase a 2013 c63 amg with 12k miles and one owner. Has the p31 package and every option besides the bi xenon headlights. Does anyone know if the c63 without the bi xenon option has the led part on the headlight like in this picture attached? Let me know! Thank you.

It doesn't, but DEPO makes a set of lights for a couple hundred bucks that look the same (although the projector itself is not as good)
Lack of lighting package isn't a big deal really, but original owners who didn't option it were stupid.

Some dealer probably forgot to check the box when they ordered it - if it has everything else you want, wouldn't worry about not having the lighting package and if it bugs you is fixable at least for fairly short money.

Just make double sure it has an LSD. That would be reason to pass on this one because you're probably looking at $2-3k for an aftermarket one to be installed. And it is required for these cars.

yes it has LSD. What does the lighting package even include? Just the xenon headlights? Also, does this car have the led strip on the front bumper, I attached an image. Looks like it does just not sure. I can always change the headlights that is true!

yeah can buy oem looking headlights on eBay for $400. Not too worried about it because I'm getting an insane deal

I bought a CPO with that same spec. No big deal if you're fine with DEPO halogens (yes, the replicas are halogens). I went the route of getting DEPO lights, and doing a full bi-xenon retrofit.

not all of the replacement/replica headlights are halogen....Depo/Eagle Eyes offer a direct OEM replacement(minus ballast and bulbs) for the Lighting Package assemblies.....BUT...if you want to go the HID route(and im sure you do) you do NOT need new headlights, it is actually quite a pain in the *** and in the wallet to convert over from one to the other because the wiring is different and so are the SAMs....the thing to do is buy the car and enjoy it, if you want to improve the lighting then swapping in bixenon(or bi-led) projectors is pretty straighforward and easy....also by doing it this way the SAMs have no idea there isnt a functional halogen bulb still in the headlight so no warnings. I do retrofits all the time for customers and our headlights are actually really easy to open up so throwing a pair of Mini H1 7.0s in with a good set of bulbs/ballasts would be a half a day Saturday project for most DIYers

I bought one very similar to yours...2012 C63 with every option EXCEPT the auto-leveling bi-xenon headlights. So I got the HIDs from DEPO, installed them in an afternoon, and haven't looked back since. Super easy, cost a couple hundred bucks, and well worth it.
Unless you desperately want the auto-leveling functionality you should be fine.
But damn those halogens are fugly.

Congrats, glad you found a car to buy. Although the car is fairly close to me, I passed on it because of the headlights.
This cracked me up. You have been watching the same sites as me and you know it isn't. Maybe to an insurance company it is but market value is 40k at best.

Exactly if it was worth way more than 40, he wouldn't be getting it at 38k after only being on Auto trader for a day.
Don't get me wrong OP, you will love the car. I miss the hell out of mine but come on, if market value was that high, it would smarter to buy and sell so you could upgrade to a 507 which are currently in the 47-50k range

I ran into this issue when shopping for my 507. IMO it is ridiculous that bixenons were not the standard lighting package for cars of this caliber. The car just looks cheapened overall when looking at halogens on an AMG. Also, it goes without saying, the bixenons are phenomenal and have a fantastic light output. They also turn with your wheel, which I have found to be a nice addition, albeit taken for granted at this point.
Every time I pass a regular C class and see the halogens, I am reminded that I made the right decision waiting out the inventory and finding the right car with the options I wanted. I waited a while, and it was before the W205 coupes were out (making my search a bit more difficult). I would imagine you have a pretty good pick of inventory at this point. As a result, I would wait it out. Your perfect build will appear at some point. Just keep hawking cars.com, autotrader, forums, etc., as I am sure you already are.

I have also been searching for the right C63 coupe for me. I am amazed how little there are listed for sale within a few hundred miles of me. Found a good one with out the xenon's... I might pull the trigger as the rest of the car is good and just do a retrofit.

Bi-xenon was on my must have list so personally I would pass. I just can't deal with the halogens and know that I wouldn't be happy with the cheap replica lights either. I always tell people to be patient and wait for the right / perfect car to pop up. It's always worth it.
