2013 c 63 performance package
New member

I'm a new member just bought the c63 and love it, should I tune it?
I really want to make the exhaust louder without the rasp , drone or smooth sound with but which route should I go ..... I feel confused
I know this has been talked about a lot so please go easy on me lol
are Mike power pipes for the secondary cats
is there a better x pipe than another
would you buy x pipe, and mikes pipes? Or just mikes?
without a tune what sounds the best as I don't want it to smooth out the sound ? Should I tune it? Is there a good chance it will damage the motor ??
Thanks for the help ,

I currently have a resonator and secondary catalytic delete and there is 0 to very little amount of drone inside of the cabin. The drone occurs from 1400-1700rpm which the car normally never in that range while cruising on the highway or even on the street. It most likely won't happen to you at all since you're looking for a x-pipe and apparently it makes the sound smoother and more refined. Personally, I enjoy the more brutal sound of the straight pipes..

Everything will explode if you touch it....just look at the car from a distance, only way it will stay pleased.

One of thousands of threads - Exhaust info for a noob.

  • Tune it.
  • 2ndary cats, straight pipe. If you want more, remove the resonator but it will make it a bit raspier.
  • Mikes pipe is a good way to go or just have a shop cut/weld/stainless steel.
  • If you are worried about damage or warranty, don't do any of the above (not saying anything will happen, we just don't want to see another thread).

I feel like the whole "resonator delete makes lots of rasp" is a bit overblown. I deleted my resonator but put an H pipe in its place. Secondary cats are deleted too (200 cell HFC). Headers just installed. Zero drone and rasp is only on WOT 4K+ and at that point it sounds like a fighter jet taking off anyway. What rasp?

I just went out for a drive and chiropractors in my area will love me (lots of snapping necks in built city areas)

Sounds like you should buy my power pipe. The same stock sound, but 25-30% louder. Definitely a great bang for the buck.

Don't bother with a x-pipe unless you are going the header route.
