Is it worth it to upgrade to a C63?

In a year or two I would have liked to upgrade to a C63 with a budget of 40k, but my friends tell me that my car looks so good that is not worth it to get a stock C63 just for the engine. They say instead I could get something that looks way better for that money like a Porsche Panamera Turbo (I prefer the ML63).
What do you think? If I got the C63 I would get rid of the C300 and loose most of my investment (don't want two of the same car). If I got the Porsche in 1-2 years I would sell the C300, but if I wait a while longer say 2-3 years and pay off the C300, I could keep it as a beater and also get the Porsche.
What would you do if you were in this situation?

C63 would be because I like the W204 platform and the engine is amazing. ML63 vs Panamera Turbo because 4WD for NE and comparable performance/sound to C63.
Is it really that ugly? I think the spoiler helps the back end a lot. The front is very Porsche.

There really isn't much more you could do though? If I got a C63 I would get it in white. I would do all the lips like the C300 in gloss black because it looks better than carbon fiber (to me) and all the spoilers/grills. So essentially I would get it to almost the same point except it would be twice as powerful. I would get rid of the C300 if I had a C63 though.

Seriously though, you make all the decisions for yourself and get to live with them. Friends can ***** about your car but its not their car to live with. Get what you want and EFF the haters.
Also to answer your first question. HELL YEAH its worth the upgrade. Everything is better AMG.

If you don't want that, get a C63 or even E9X M3. It's not "just an engine" that's difference between your C300 and a C63.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
If you want to track your car regularily then reconsider. Also, if you want to impress randoms then do not get a c63 because it looks the same as a regular C. Coupe even looks like an accord. A Panamera is way more distinctive and carries the Porsche name. Even M3 has way more recognition than C63. Until you rev in the city.

So just pay off your car and decide what you want to do then.
If you are looking for pure performance at ~$40k, IMO you can't beat a used 996 Turbo.
I also think the Panamera is ugly as hell.
It's not just the engine/performance. The overall feel, sounds, build quality and enjoyment you get from it, is something you have to experience yourself. I have daily drove mine for close to the last 3 years and it has always made me smile. It is a very unique car that you can't compare to the C300 (like comparing a Camry to a Corvette).

I need 4 doors, you can see my son in the back up top. Never liked BMW, they all look the same

I totally have to experience it cause I don't think I know what I'm in for

Perhaps a Honda Civic would be a better choice for you.. I heard the more stickers you put on it the faster they go.
Are those caliper covers on your C300? If not, that driver's front bleeder valve is on the bottom of the caliper when it should be on the top (because air rises).

as far as the Panamera...that's your call.
Regarding panamera vs C63, I do like my C63 better due to performance and being a smaller car(coupe). But when I need a couple more seats, I take the panamera out. It's definitely a hit or miss, but imo I think the panamera looks great.
edit** I don't think anyone needs 2 sedans. Get a coupe and a sedan.

I did not look up the C63 brakes so I put them upside down, I have to take them off and flip them again. Thanks for the lesson, did not know the purpose of the valve, I thought it was some sort of drain

ML63 is an AMG too though. I love the C63, but having had a C300 that looks this good, why would I get a RWD stock C63 when I could get a ML63? I hear it can be a beast too plus I kinda need AWD for PA (although I wouldn't mind a set of winters) and I have no plans to track it.Regarding panamera vs C63, I do like my C63 better due to performance and being a smaller car(coupe). Nice to know you have both, I also think the looks need to grow on you because at first it looks odd.
C63 Coupe is not as sharp as Sedan

It felt like the biggest upgrade ever. They are totally not in the same league. I don't miss my C350.
Just go test drive one and you'll see the first moment you press on the gaz.
maybe look into the 507 if you're interested in a W04 C63?
