BS tuning im my 507 edition?
Hey guys tried searching this and came up dry, ive recently bought a 14 c63 507 series and its an amazing machine but as always i want a bit more out of the stock setup for now so ive been talking to a tuning shop and they said they can map my car with the BS tune and get me another 70WHP give or take now my question is, is there any merit to this and is it a good idea to do im new to the MB world and would like some guidance on getting a tune to stretch the stock car out thanks in advance

Ask them for a money back guarantee meaning if they fail to produce a dyno proven 70WHP from a dyno of your choice then you get your money back.. its unlikely.

What company? They are just trying to sell you a tune.
507 ed comes with 507bhp.
Black Series comes with 510bhp.
My guess is there is just a misunderstanding and you're going after an aftermarket tune. Not really such a thing as a black series tune and if there was you'd gain nothing out of it.
There are, however, advantages to going with regular tunes such as the ones Eurocharged provides if you wanted an increase in hp. You likely won't get 70whp out of any tune alone, however. Especially on a 507. If you had a base c63 maybe, but not on a 507.
All in all, I would just stop talking to whoever is trying to sell you that BS (bs) tune..

Id rather not say the company im not here to bash but i totally understand what your saying but they were just said they would load the BS map in the car and claimed it would bump it 70WHP i found this far fetched as well considering its a 507 series too

Even if you started with a base C63 and did a tune, you won't see 70 whp gains. A 507 will show even less gains since it is essentially a "tuned" car from the factory. My car (base C63) went from 380 whp to 425ish with just a tune.

Either they think you're stupid and are willing to just throw money at things regardless of outcome (which I promise you wont get 70whp... you wont even get half that) OR they are stupid which could be even worse.

Yeah, no, not happening. Do business with someone else if you're trying to increase your hp through a tune. Just sounds like the beginnings of an unhappy customer to me.

2014 C63 Edition 507
I considered a tune from EC a couple years ago, but it would have only bumped me another 20 HP or so from the 507. Not worth voiding my warranty for that. Other reputable tuners are in that same range of increase also.
If you search, you'll see dyno results 507 vs 507 + tune in the forums here and I don't think you'll find any yielding much more than 25 HP increase.
I've resigned myself to staying stock and driving in S+ whenever I can. The car is plenty thrilling that way for street driving!

Agree w/Pback.
By having a 507 ed you already have a good bump in HP/TQ from stock. AND you get the MB drivability.
I've had bad luck with aftermarket tunes on 2 diff benz cars....... bucking surging, part throttle hes.... funky shifting... which the tuner said would be handled on the next rev..... I'm pretty picky about keeping my benz driving like a benz not just at WOT... but all the time..... and not being part of a beta testing program which I pay for ... rant off....... I'm sure a tuner fanboy will flame.... but that's my experience.
Enjoy the 507 "appearance pkg" as they call it

Betrezra and others are correct though, you don't really need the tune if you already have a 507. Just enjoy the beauty.
Also welcome and congrats!
