Side marker bulb error... with new bulb

So... I validated the bulb was good by switching them but my front right will not light up and it throwing the error... any ideas?

Worse yet, they are smoked so bulbs only there to avoid errors... ugh

So your saying its a regular filament bulb, u swapped the bulb with a known working bulb and your still getting the error on the same side?

Try the basics. Check the socket to ensure the wires are connected and didn't break loose from the inside. With the lights on, stick a multi meter in there to see if your getting power. Wouldn't be a fuse since more bulbs would be off. Maybe a glitch in the ecu so try disconnecting the battery?

Try that if you haven't done so yet and report back

This happened to me last week. It was a bad/rusted socket. Replacement was 15.00

Thanks both... was suspecting the socket.

as for testing with a multimeter... i assume I ah ave to cut the wires to prove it’s a bad socket?

Not necessarily. I like to test with this tool. One end clips on to the factory ground, the other side touches a live source and the piece lights up.

Your suggestion is similar to Bentz above except that a meter voltage reading is clearer indication of power. All a circuit tester like this will just tell you there is some voltage but not how much.
I too suspect a bad socket.
