Fuel Injector Cleaning Results

I have to tell you, the non AMG branded Bosch injectors? I am in no hurry to replace them with the AMG ones which still have to go to the injector cleaning facility.
I'm really happy with them and the car subjectively feels that it's all there stock power wise.

Changed mine below 50k and it made a noticeable difference. It's because each time it can, the transmission up shifts all the way to 7 and cruises at below 2000 rpm.
That is not keeping the injectors clean and free flowing.
Also, having injectors made in 2017, may avoid problems that some of the early 156 experienced, with leaky injectors that hydrolocked the engine.
Although the Mercedes part number for the injectors did not change, Bosch May still have made changes.

Because it matters what fuel injectors look like on the outside
Some are reporting that their car runs better with these. Maybe the AMG-specific spray pattern is somehow different to meet certain regs or emission/performance targets.

heh. My highly calibrated butt dyno says the car is running better with the new Bosch. But then compared to the stock gunked up ones anything would be an improvement! Not to open up a can of worms but wondering how many guys with pinging issues with the Eurocharged V7 tune have dirty crappy injectors. What really pushed over the edge to replace the injectors besides the PCV / intake gasket replacement was the very slight pinging I was getting with V7. Since I was pulling the intake off figured might as well just do the injectors while I had the intake off.

What's the appropriate lube for the o-rings prior to install? I generally have this stuff in the toolbox and use it unless otherwise specified.

I just use a bit of foreplay and they usually go right in.
Oh wait what are we talking about?
Funny story - KY Jelly's support line used to be one digit off our customer service line. Some of the irate calls we would get about KY Jelly product not working in VM were real laughers. Wish I had kept some of them.
They've since changed their number so that hilarity has stopped.

So I used gasoline. Collected some from leftovers in the rail and just dipped the o rings then it went right in.
As far as AMG vs Bosch injector spray pattern.
The Bosch part number does codify spray pattern as well.
So for a given Bosch part number, you are already mandating the spray pattern.
What AMG mandates of Bosch, I don't know.
But I'll tell you this:
EXEDY makes the clutch kit for Subaru.
You can buy the Subaru Branded one and you can buy the EXEDY branded one. The Subaru is of higher quality and doesn't judder. It had different springs in it.
However, the EXEDY part number for the Subaru sold item differs.
The STI pink injectors are improved, they have lower latency. But the part number and even the color are different.
I'm not sure that as a manufacturer, you can pump out two products with the same part number. Regardless who puts what brand on them after the fact.
