Whats more important for you: the beautiful sound or the power?
Simple question. Which draws you to the car more? For me, it was always the free-revving engine and massive sound. Especially with headers + straight pipes (with an H). There are plenty of cars that go faster, but few match the sound and soul of my baby.
What about you guys?

I'm currently in a dilemma myself. Sound vs. Power
I'm surrounded by go fast guys that have something to prove. I'm usually the one that's used as a bench mark to see how their cars have progressed with the various performance mods for their platforms. I strive to improve myself but have been torn on how this has effected my exhaust note. I could change the exhaust note with a different style exhaust cross joint.
I currently have the MBH system; long tube headers, cat-less mid-pipes, x-pipe, resonator delete and oem mufflers. This setup has massive volume but if you heard it from a distance you wouldn't know it was an AMG. I blame this on the MBH resonator delete and the MBH x-pipe. I've contemplated reinstalling the resonators but that wont bring back the aggressive barks the car made on downshifts. So I figured I'll purchase the MBH test pipes(welded to an H) to replace the MBH x-pipe. I will retain the resonator delete for now and see how it sounds.
Now I know I will be losing some power but we'll just have to see how much.

I think the sound has a good amount of influence on my decision. If I simply wanted something fast, could have gone with a Tesla. I want the sound and rumble to make my ***** vibrate...I get that with my AMG.

Its gonna sound like an AMG is supposed to sound. Loud, mean and barks like its meant to bark
I doubt it....and if you did, if would be so small i cant see how you would even notice it

I love both but if it was slow and made the sound would be silly all noise but no go would be lame so would rather have power first then sound but why compromise both are good

luckily the M156 sounds amazing and backs it up. i'm not too much of a fan of the M177/178's sound. when you go smaller in displacement the deep rumble isn't present. AMG has done a great job in tuning the sound of the AMG GTS, but nothing beats an M156 with long tubes and x-pipe.
