Selling C63 Tips
Hi guys,
I was thinking about selling my 2013.. Only downside is that my car has been in a car accident. Has anybody here have any success selling their car that's been in accident?? Maybe i should take it to Carmax later this week.

Is the title still clean? How bad was the damage? Was it repaired?
If it was a minor accident and the car was properly repaired it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but people will pay less vs. an accident free car. It also helps to have pictures of all of the damage so a potential buyer can see how bad the damage was.

I personally wouldn't care if the car has been in an minor accident as long as it was minor bumper work and was repaired well. After all it is a "bump"er meant to get damaged. Does the accident show up when you run the Carfax check?
CarMax would be a good place to start, but they will offer about 2-3k lower than what you can sell it for on the private market. I bought my used coupe although it had minor front and rear bumper work I didn't mind it because it's hard to really find a pristine used car. No accident history on the carfax as it was minor touch-ups that was likely done before the lease was over, but I could tell the repair work wasn't up to my standards

FWIW, when I was shopping for an E63 every one that I checked out had had the bumpers repainted. I finally found one and paid extra for it since it was accident free and had all the original paint on the car.

That's why you should never only go by what Carfax says. It's not uncommon for accidents/repairs to not be reported by insurance companies.

A paint meter will tell you in a second no matter how good the paint job as the factory paint is very consistent thickness and an accident repair will always be different enough to measure.
