Which Map version do I have?
Hi All, first time writing so please be kind. I have an AMG C63 2012 in Australia and I am looking to buy the last map update although I purchased the car used so Im not sure which version is in there now. I dont want to purchase the 2015 update if it already has it installed. Can anyone tell me how I can find this info out from within the car/command unit. Thanks in advance.

It is in the Command Operating Instructions book.
To show the menu press the command controller,
Select Navi and press the command controller to confirm,
Select Map Version and press the command controller to confirm.

Paulie, What version do you have? Have you got a quote yet from the dealer to upgrade the maps? It's ridiculously expensive here in Australia. Around $600 or more, depending where you go.

G'day Mr Jones, I have the version that stopped at 2012 and yes, Mercedes quoted over 600 dollars although I found a place in QLD called Euro Car Upgrades that can supply the last map for $395 inc GST. I think that will be about as cheap as they get and you have to supply your VIN as it will require a specific access code to load. Is there a source for North American maps? I haven't gotten a quote from the dealer yet, but my map version is 2013/2014. I just got the car a couple weeks ago and I noticed a lot of places i go aren't on the map. All the golf courses are there tho lol!
ETA: MSRP on MB's site is $249.99 here. I guess that isn't too bad..

I have been down this road with them in my 2011 E350 and the map is not current. They bold face admitted they run about 2 yr behind reality. I never will buy an upgraade again and don't think for one second you can buy and share it with your mates. It is a one time use item..
My advice is to use the maps you have if you can and if not use Google maps. They are always up to date and easier to use.

Yup. They bend you over and stick it to you sans lubrication and here is a tip.

It's 2015 V7.0. I had 2012 V4.0 so I didn't have Peninsula Link/East Link etc. If you've got 2014 it might not be worth upgrading. None of the dealers could tell me when the next update is due.

I explored a system to allow me to mirror my phone on screen while moving. There is equipment out there to allow you to unlock the screen while moving but nobody had actually mirrored a phone although I got lots of inputs saying it was possible.

You have to take my comments in a Canadian context. MBC does things differently on a lot of stuff.

Who sells the kit to disable the in-movement lockout for the W204?
