Looking for a C63 AMG - a couple of questions (I searched)
- I've just seen on a YouTube video that the sound is different from a 2008 to a 2012? Is that true or I misunderstood?

I'm new here, I hope it's the beginning of a long story. I already got a Viper, a ZR-1 and a RX-7. I like to post detailed DIY with pics.

1. Sound is exact same 2008 vs 2012.
2. The car you linked is going to be much louder than stock. If you wantckose to stock sound I do not recommend this vehicle. It has mbh headers.

I think that the car you sent looks nice, nothing too obnoxious on the exterior... But it does have a lot of aftermarket things done to it. Seeing that you cant have a loud car where you live i don't know if this is the car for you. Try to find a stock car that is more of what you are looking for.

That car you showed will be very loud. It has headers and x pipe. It'll be the OEM mufflers so you could get away with it. I personally dont like that generation

Id ask for receipts and proof for all that preventative maintenance. Otherwise looks to be a great buy really. Has all the problem areas fixed. As long as it drives well and checks out. I think it's a good buy. Just interesting he dropped 17k according to him recently and now he is selling. I don't know. Maybe his loss your gain.

Thanks for your advice guys. Yes that's pretty stranged he dropped a fair amount of money to sell the car afterwards. The car would definitely need an inspection at the dealership.
I forgot to mention - this car would be my winter/daily car. I would like to drive to Florida (2,000 miles from here) back and forth for Spring Break. I don't want these mods to ruin my journey.
I can find stock manifold and stuff. But I'm wondering for the tune...
gtracer - yeah sorry for rude nickname, the nickname I've got on every single damn forums was already taken here so I was a bit upset!

My biggest concern would be the guy claims to have spent 17k recently to do headbolts, heads, cams etc and is now selling the car for basically 8k after what he just spent - feels like he is dumping the car, could be many reasons, but I would be worried he wants to unload it for some reason.

Everything seems to be perfect on the car, but I hear a ticking noise (especially on first video). I really don't like it. And there's water coming out of the exhaust pipes (might only be condensation?). I don't know why, but on second video, ticking is almost gone. I haven't seen the car in person.
