p0410, secondary Air... I know you've heard it before...
Trying to collect the p0410 info is proving challenging...
I've got it and it doesn't seem to be going away.
I've had the air valves changed (they were weak with age)
I've had the o2 sensors (upper, I think) changed (they were showing slightly out of range)
I ordered a replacement relay because I'm not certain that the fan comes on all the time but I got the wrong part.
I'm also going to just order a replacement fan and install it after testing the relay (when I get the right part).
Problem is, I'm having a hard time trusting that I'm going to get the right fan.
Can anyone verify that the secondary air pump for the c300 is the same as ours?
I'm looking here:
https://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?i=1&ss...ry+air&x=0&y=0
Also, can anyone throw up some good parts links? Pelican parts doesn't seem to have the secondary air pump when I search for it on the c63.
Thanks!
EDIT: adding VIN: WDDGF77X89F255066

Edited to add VIN.
you mean testing the hoses from the pump to the valves? or does the secondary air actually inject into the manifold? I thought it was direct into the heads. ?
Did you ever leak test your intake system? the M156 intake manifold has many places it can and will leak from.

Rock auto and pelican parts don't have a secondary air injector for the c63 that I can find. Which is surprising!
They are my usual parts suppliers... not sure I trust the OG link I posted unless someone can verify it will work on the C63...
Anyone know a better place to get one? I've got emissions to do in 2 weeks and I'd like to get this taken care of.

this seems to be the part # 000-140-71-85
pelican has it but but only oem https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info2/0001407185.htm
Seems it is a unique part number and nothing lists as a replacement specifically, MB one is friggin expensive, seems 800 is a deal https://www.shopmbonline.com/oem-par...ump-0001407185

Found this from Pierburg
https://cdn2.ms-motorservice.com/fil...rs_1080623.pdf
It shows the mercedes part numbers (it is hard to find in that doc, here is the specific link) https://onlineshop.ms-motorservice.com/msi/MSICD
there is a link to show models it was used in and was only the c63 and the e63, so looks like a unique part
Seems old part number was A 000 140 59 85 and new is A 000 140 71 85

Not sure if this will help but I just posted a few photos on the w204 non AMG section. I took my valves apart and rebuilt one of them from how dirty it was. I also took my pump apart I'm yet to post pictures on that. I cleaned it out there was a ton of carbon build up which caused a jet engine sound. I changed the switch with a Petersburg switch now my system is running flawlessly. I saved $2500 in parts and labour doing this myself.
I bought a Bosch pump and installed a new one like in your first link but opened my old one up cleaned it out and tested it. It's not loud anymore.
I'm already on pump #2. one was replaced under warranty and they did a **** job it's been 2 years and the jet sound came back.
I would check the #40 fuse beside the relay if u haven't. Then just check the vacuum hoses for cracks or leaks.
If you've canceled everything else out change the switch it was 40$ Canadian. Then you've changed the whole system to a brand new one.
Good luck!

I'll be doing the cleaning and hose checking process today.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C300. My other ride is a 92 240sx vert.
I've been struggling with the same code on my c300 for a little while now. I've changed the secondary air pump, one of the valve lines, and had a blown 40amp maxi fuse by the driver side fuse box closest to where the VIN is. I also replaced the thermostat because it I was told it could somehow be related by a friend. I reset the codes and completed the drive cycle and then the code came up again.
So I found out that one of my air pump check valve was super clogged with carbon build up. This part is pretty universal to all Mercedes-benz models. Mine has 2, one under to the left of the secondary air pump and the other one is to the immediate right of the air pump connected to it.
I am ordering a replacement this week hoping it will get rid of the code once and for all.
I did pull the check valve off and cleaned it with carb cleaner, went through a whole can and opened it up and ended up snapping 2 little screws off when i tired taking them off but even after cleaning it entirely, I found that the valve itself was stuck and wouldn't open so I needed a new one anyway.
