Actually.......YES, there is a way. The color is not in the coding or software of the cluster unit but in the actual display itself. I am almost 100% sure on this as when i bought my first FL cluster to update my PFL the display was the god awful yellow, but when i got my 2nd FL cluster the display was the Gray/Red scheme. When I realized that the 2nd cluster didnt have some of the convenience features programmed in like the 1st FL cluster had i reinstalled it but hated the yellow so i pulled it back out, swapped the display from the 2nd FL cluster into the 1st FL cluster and voila, the 1st FL cluster displayed the Gray/Red scheme. The pic of the back of the display is NOT necessarily the right part number as i have bought prolly 5 FL clusters in total and i cannot remember if this one is yellow or Gray/Red, just posting the pic to show that the display is a removable, stand alone piece that CAN be replaced.

I'm pretty much sure it can't be done remotely unfortunately
Someone can probably do it remotely if you had a star diagnostic hooked up to the car and vediamo set up to flash software. This method lets you update almost all the modules in your car to a newer model year software even if officially Mercedes doesn't offer it. Not much changes electronically between model years except for the head unit but you can still change the color scheme on the older ones.
Xentry official installation has all the files you need. Mainly .cff files.
I guess the trick for me is to see where in Vediamo I point it to the program files/Mercedes/Xentry database. I was trying yesterday, I thought I succeeded once. I'll pm you, thanks.
