JBSPEED rear diffuser install
Hey I just received my jbspeed cf rear diffuser for my facelift c63. Anyone install this on their car yet? Just seeing if there were any issues and how the overall install went. Searched and didn’t come up with anyone installing this diffuser. Quality looks pretty good!

There's two methods to installing the CF rear diffuser. One require you to take off the rear bumper and one doesn't. I don't have the JBSpeed CF big fin rear diffuser but I recommend taking off the rear bumper so you can get the diffuser to fit nicely. I had to take my bumper off to get mine to fit correctly (VFR Tuning CF big fin diffuser). With CF diffusers, a lot of people (including me) run into an issue where the tabs on the CF diffuser are not long enough, or too wide and the diffuser mounting points needs to be slightly modified in order to have the diffuser snap into place.

Oh! You will need to remove the rear bumper to install that diffuser. I actually like that mounting system better than the tabs built into the bumper. You insert those metal tabs into the bumper and bend them up to secure it into the bumper. I remember seeing a thread about it (I've already tried searching) but can't find it anymore.

Haha yeah, it sounds pretty intimidating but it took me about 15 minutes to remove the rear bumper working at a slow pace.
Also, I did some more digging and found the thread I mentioned earlier: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ser-crazy.html . Hope this helps.

Took a little longer than expected since I decided to take the whole rear bumper off to get it to fit right. Overall wasn’t that bad just gotta take ur time with the clips to get the bumper and diffuser off.

Bumping an old thread, but wanted to see what others have done to secure the front part of the diffuser where the plastic brackets bolt to the chassis. The JBSpeed diffuser just has two more of the metal tabs in this area with no holes, so I'm wondering what they were suggesting for this attachment. The vendor didn't seem to have any info on this.
Thanks in advance.
