Interior Mod Questions

Hi everyone,
Still loving my 2009 C63 every day, but looking to refresh a few things in the interior: rewrap the alcantara on the performance pack steering wheel in alcantara or leather (alcantara is currently completely worn) and wrapping the interior trim pieces in carbon fiber vinyl (genuine CF replacements just seem too expensive). Anybody have any ideas on a fair price for either service? Anyone have any other suggestions on how to freshen up the interior a bit?

Cheers!

why not just upgrade your steering wheel with new Alcantara. There’s a company that’s on these forums that sell that. You can always buy carbon fiber pieces of eBay.

Have you tried cleaning your steering wheel? I'd be willing to bet the alcantara is just really dirty

Exactly what I did.

I can't believe how easy it is and it makes such a difference.

I used sonax to clean it then used a a damp wipe with some suavitel (cheap downey). Let it dry then brushed excess with $7 alcantara brush now it feels even better than new. So soft and cushy.

I normally use Sonax Alcantara cleaner, but I just ordered the Dr Beasley’s microsuede cleaner and protectant. Gonna give this a shot and see as it offers protection vs just cleaning like Sonax.

I have the carbon trim laying around on my other set of door panels if you want them. Just you need a driver side one because mine cracked but the rest are good

Just wanted to give an update here. The Dr Beasley's microsuede cleaner and protectant seems to work very well! I used Sonax previously and it left water spots on my seats. It wasn't really water, but its the best way to describe the marks that were left behind. I'm not sure if I used too much? I tried another application a few weeks later and it didn't remove them. Needless to say the Dr Beasley's kit removed it with ease! I've had great experience with their products so far.
