Android Widescreen touchscreen For W204
Where does it state on page that you have to reboot original unit every single time ?
It dosent
Only if you have FL then it will work great
Your be will the same as mine
Just hold the ON button when you start your car
1. With the factory display system installed
2. Turn the ignition to ACC
2a. Press ON if COMAND doesn't turn on automatically
3. COMAND and factory display should turn on with the display opening up on pre-FL models
4. Turn the ignition to OFF
5. COMAND display closes and unit powers off
6. Uninstall factory display and replace with Android unit
Seems like maybe a bit of a stretch, but who knows :-/ .... The only thing that made me think of this is if you power off the COMAND display while the car is on and then turn the car off, the subsequent time your turn the car on the COMAND unit will be off and you'll need to manually press ON to turn COMAND on.

could you make a YouTube video of your install and function of your new screen?
So we all can see if the improvements had we been applied?

Cool, a video of its functions would be good. This way we can see if the issues reported have been addressed.
When you do make the video, could you post the link or your channel name so we can go watch it, please?
Thanks.
(currently I'm having an MBH full exhaust installed and ECU reflash done, the powder coating of the headers is taking the longest time so far.) [/offTopic]
Assuming no further delays I should be able to install the new display on the 14th or 15th and make a video along with a write-up.
I will say that I did turn on the new unit after it was hooked up and the display and UI were quite nice. The screen has a nice sharp resolution and moves fluidly with your finger with no signs of lag at all, and was able to seamlessly connect to my WiFi and bluetooth. The only issue I noticed is that the old Comand screens looked all messed up, so I will definitely have to play around with the resolution settings if I decided that I want to use those screens at all in the future.
I'm probably going to end up paying an audio shop to install it at this point as I spend so much time away at work as I do on days off so my free time is worth more than my money.

Did you buy the OBD2 interface?
