NEW Headbolt install head cracked??? pics

Just got my 1st new headbolt installed and the bolt head cracked/frayed? Don't think I can emphasize enough how careful/**** I was on this (drain block; clean/dry threaded block hole/head contact; 50Nm+90x3). Best guess, missed something that's still lubricating the thread cavity and over-torqued? Can't see any fragments below but that'll be another project for another day - this project on pause again. Forwarded info/pics to my supplier for any info from MB and will report if/when I hear anything - if anyone has experienced this, please lmk.

OK, I'm a moron.
Was gonna call it a day but decided I better clean it up and pull it off - broke out the scope to see what I was dealing with and took pictures before and after vacuuming (pics below). I'm going to consider myself lucky and quit now (that I think I'm ahead), but it appears the oem sealant on the bolt created the illusion of a crack...at least I hope. Needs a bit more than vacuuming and will clean it up and inspect more, but I think I'm (the car) is ok.

Yeah, that white sealant (bolt on the right below) can creep up a bit when it creates a seal.

yeah I believe all is good - just got the second one in without the drama and has quite a bit less sealant.

This was my 1st tty as well as oem-sealant bolt install and am doing this in part to learn and challenge myself - mission accomplished

i thought it was sealant, but didn't want to scream foul.

glad to know with better pics you've identified it was sealant. cheers!

I'm impressed that you even have that kind of camera equipment.

I think it was on sale for $10 at Amazon - plugs into Android phone and does work pretty well.
I believe this is the same thing (different brand)...
