Last night I changed the diff fluid and put in new drain and fill plugs given the corrosion under the car. Never changed diff fluid before but I found Tasos’ video and that’s all you need to know! Oh and get your parts from Tracy!
Changed from Black to Anthracite Grey. Love that you can can see more of the cars curves. And its nice to finally see all the carbon fiber pop, as opposed to blending in with the previous black paint.

Nice HREs! My friend gave me the Chemical Brothers leather cleaning and conditioning kit, so I did that today. It made it a lot easier than i thought to clean the porcelain leather! It helps my back seats have never been sat in as well =)
had to flatbed the poor Merc to ECatx - Dave and Adam were awesome and diagnosed the issue within hours, appears the Intake gasket got sucked into the TB......used the Cruiser to winch her onto the flatbed....
Hoping to get a few final tweaks done while its there and maybe a re-run / final tune on the dyno as I've had most of the mods on her for 3k or so now...
that looks great! Where did you get that box from? Is it custom?
Thanks! It's a custom enclosure done by a shop in SoCal. The PO was the one to have the work done. If you'd like to know more details on who did the work shoot me a PM and I can dig up the paperwork.
Headlight Restoration. The car is immaculate with the exception of the driver's side headlight. Chemical etching is present and not on the other side so PO either broke the original and replaced with an inferior used headlight (and the PO doesn't seem that type) or used something to clean it that they shouldn't have. I found in old threads a site called bimmerjakes but unfortunately bimmerjakes no longer lists the pre-facelift headlight replacement lens covers so I have no choice but to give it a go. Plastic used for these lens covers is hard as others before me noted. Before I PPF I'm going to do it again one more time next weekend given what I learned today since I still have some scratches/swirls I can remove. Everything today was by hand but going to break out the orbital for the next round.
It will come back.....even faster now you have polished off all the UV protecting clear coat. Next time you do it (before you wax) give it a coat of UV proof clear laquer....it will keep its looks for much longer then.

You can also PPF them to add UV protection, but @ALFAitalia is right, if you don't put something on them to protect them from UV damage, now that they are polished they will get cloudy quickly again, either some clearcoat or PPF will give them protection from UV again.

You guys didn’t read what I wrote . Also this is a weekend driver, won’t be exposed until after PPF. Before PPF I’ll be using 2k headlight clear as well.

Then you are golden, sorry I missed that and I have all my headlights PPF'd and it lasts really well, one car has had XPEL on the headlights for almost 15 years and still looks like new!
Received my iCarsoft MB II and Installed WIS/EPC/ASRA. I wasn't expecting to see a Tomcat Servlet Container installation coupled with old Java Web Start tech. I built crap like this in the early 2000's, yuck, but it works. Also ordered H&R 12mm and 10mm spacers along with R14 14x1.5 40mm and R14 14X1.5 37mm H&R bolts. H&R lowering springs on their way to along with 17mm rear spring pad.

I legit LOL'ed.
10 years ago when I first manually installed a WIS I was thinking the same thing. 10 years later no change just pre-installed on a VM.

And built the GUI using Java Swing if you remember that. I built a huge app using RMI, Swing, Tomcat and Oracle. Retired it just a few months ago. Ahhh…the smell of ancient tech.

The API guide will probably still be hosted 10 years from now too.
Nothing major but looks good. RW Carbon and I've never had an aftermarket piece larger than interior trim fit as good as this. Thank goodness for the eraser wheel as it made short work of the 12 year old double sided tape.
