Wanted - Rotor hats for Brembo 2-piece rotors
Hi there,
I'm just wondering if anyone has an extra set of aluminum hats off the factory 2-piece Brembo P30 package brakes that they'd be interested in selling? Maybe you just did a brake job and have an old set of P30 rotors laying around?
i just have an extra set of front rings and would ultimately like to have 2 full sets of rotors/rings so I can swap them back and forth without disassembling them as much.
Thanks!

I have a set of aluminum hats that you seek. PM me, as I was planning on having friction made for these. Make me an offer I can't refuse, and I will let you have them.

These are my spare OE P30 discs, gone over lightly by my machine shop to get them perfect. I haven't measured them because my tool chest is in storage but there looks to be lots of life left in them. They are/were intended to be dedicated track brakes but I no longer think it's necessary. Maybe I'll go over to Harbor Freight and get a spare digital caliper and measure them since I need to know anyway. So, maybe for sale but perhaps not worth the cost of distance shipping with the rings.

According to Brembo, you're supposed to replace the fasteners. You can try to contact their biggest distributor Race Technologies, they're responsive.
Also there's a torque number too.

Here's some good info. Apparently torque spec is 62 inch pounds.

So, I finally got around to mounting my freshly machined rotors on to the P30 hats that I picked up through the forum. (Thank you William for being so great to deal with!!)
After 3 track days the rotors had warped so I swapped them out for a brand-new setof rings I'd bought through the forum as well (thank you Kyle at FCP!)
William had a spare set of hats that he was willing to part with and the machine shop was able to bring my warped rotor rings back to life and voila! For about $400 Cdn I have a spare set of P30 rotors for track use exclusively. The machined rotors are still 34.8mm thick so lots of life left (New is 36, min is 33mm), and when they're done I'll likely look to Coleman Racing for a custom set that aren't cross-drilled.
I know you're supposed to use new hardware, but the bobbins take ALL the shear load in this design and they are very solid. The bolts really just hold it together but don't have any force exerted on them, so I was very comfortable reusing the hardware. I torqued the bolts to 94 inch-pounds because that's what FCP Euro is doing on their race car. If it works for 12 hours of endurance racing for them, I figured it would work for my meagre track days. 😜👍
Thanks again for the hats William, appreciate it!

Not to take thread off topic, but where does one buy new rings for P30 two-piece rotors? Is it possible to buy the fasteners as well? It looks like Brembo/MB only sells complete assembly.

Yeah, unfortunately; "MB" or even "Brembo" not selling those Hats and fasteners separately,,
they comes with Rotor assembly, but can find them with "RB" or "FVD":-

Hi there,
If you are just looking for a set of replacement rings, reach out to Coleman Racing. They can custom machine rotor rings ... I'd send your old one in and have them match it.
i got a quote at the end of June and it was $276/rotor ring.
