i'm buying a C63 AMG 2012 Sedan and i'm confused about the car i can't really tell if the car is a regular C63 or a Performance Package one or a real 507 edition
because the first owner told me he bought it as a regular C63 by VIN Number but he got everything changed in the Dealer with a 507 package which includes Engine, body kit, interior, Suspension
but the 2nd owner which i'm buying it from him told me its a regular C63 with a body kit and interior upgrades from the Dealer
but i'm pretty sure its not a regular C63 because the car made 430 whp (Stock) 91 octane and the car is really stiffer than any other C63 i have driven before and i think it does have LSD differential (not sure)
i'm sure a regular C63 can't reach more than 400 whp stock
so please if anyone can tell me a way to check like an Engine Number or any other marks that can prove what kind of C63 it is
IMO I doubt the dealer would change the internals on a regular C63 to make it a 507 edition to make a sale.. with that said it could be make that power because of a simple tune. The car does look like a 507 edition from the outside. 507 rims, red calipers, 507 hood, and the decal. Does the interior have carbon fiber trims? also the dash should have a edition 507 badge. Also is the whole steering wheel alcantara along with the shift boot? take a picture of the engine bay as well. If it has at least a P30/P31 package its a different colour from the regular C63. Also correct me if im wrong but there are no 2012 507 editions. I believe they were only made 2014 and 2015. 2014 sedans only and 2015 coupes. (not 100% sure about that)

Run the VIN. You do not have a 507 as they were not made in 2012. You do not have “dealer installed” 507 upgrades. Someone stuck on a lip spoiler, a stripe, a 507 hood, rims and piano black trim, and a tune and who knows what else. You probably have a P31, or else the previous owner also painted the calipers. about the VIN i did check it and it says regular c63 but i think its a P31 then. it does have fully alcantara steering wheel and black piano trim along with 507 edition badge but i know these thing are aftermarket from the Dealer (as he told me)
and about the tune the car made 430 whp without a tune and made 485whp after a tune and a long tube headers
but maybe this number came from a P31 or P30 Package
So which part of the Engine bay does have a different color if it a P31 or P30 ?
i will try to post a picture as soon as i get one

intake will be dark grey vs light grey silver if it is p31. If you ran the vin, then you should see p30 listed as an option if it has it. Lsd is option 471 on the option list, if you ran the vin and got the data card it will tell you exactly what you have.

As long as you know what it is and understand that - it's your call on if it's priced right for what you want the car to be.... it's not a true 507, but it has many of the better aspects added it appears.
Just another thought (obviously not a real 507)....but if parts were dealer installed there's a invoice somewhere proving it, or the dealership will have records.
